Yes - so looking forward to this!! Thank you for putting this topic on a platform @fishmanaf! Going right to the top of my listening queue

The one, the only, the @onecaseman returns to the podcast for some real talk:
➔ Zero interest rate phenomenon PMs
➔ Avoiding overreliance on user research
➔ The future of PM alongside AI
➔ Founder intuition vs team expertise
➔ Interviewing advice
➔ The pain of the CPO role

Product management is predictive psychology + technical execution. All of our little frameworks are attempts to create structure and repeatability in that process. But it usually comes down to
- what do people want
- what has value I can capture
- can I make it happen

The mindset there are roles is often what sets teams back.
There are no roles.
There are skills. Design skills. PM skills. Anyone can have skills.
There are responsibilities. A team can decide who will do what in the moment.
Focus on skills and responsibilities. Not roles.

We are happy to invite you to our next meetup on January 17th.
We will talk about how products people love are built on experimentation - trying out small changes at scale, failing fast, failing often, and using insights to learn and optimize.

I think this is my all-time favorite visual representation of a talk I've given. Thanks so much for the warm welcome @ProductTankAMS, and thanks so much for the incredible capture @bombeztic!

We have two #1 priorities.

Product Management is just saying “let’s take a step back, what are we really trying to achieve here” every day until you die.

Sharing a brief memo I wrote for a founder in response to this question:
What is product management?
Product management is the art, science, and practice of making successful products and making products successful.

I think the primary lesson of this piece is that it's still possible to innovate even if you're in a feature factory. And by feature factory I mean an organisation where people outside the product team dictate what the product team works on.
This 👇! 10x more important then any product framework or latest discocery methodology if you really want to make an impact as product person.
Ah airport layovers, time for a thread that keeps coming up.
How do I convince my executives to change/ do things I’d like them to do as good #prodmgmt. Here’s my tips. 🧵 /1
Guess I finally found a way to explain my job to my relatives.. "I'm the mayor of website xyz" 😅
In earnest - love the analogy, so fitting!
People often ask how @figma prioritizes its roadmap. It’s a hard question, which I’ll try to tackle over time in small bites.
This first thread is about user input
