Mark Viduka's first footy love was Collingwood and he's a massive Pies fan. Eddie McGuire (a big Viduka fan) used to send match tapes at Viduka's request to Dukes when he played in England. Viduka once had a training run at Vic Park, where he met his childhood idol, Peter Daicos.

The Beatles - Day Tripper. This song was released with "We Can Work It Out" as a double A-side on 3 December 1965. It was #1 at Christmas 1965 and was the 7th best selling single of the entire 1960s! This has my vote for coolest/grooviest riff of all time!

Another great rendition of the National Anthem at the World Series tonight!
And unlike the the American hating lesbians in the WNBA and LeBron James, the Major league Baseball players all stood still and gave respect to our Nation Anthem! 🇺🇸

SIR JOHN MONASH: A PROUD JEW. A GREAT AUSTRALIAN
How many Australians know that Sir John Monash was one of the greatest military commanders of World War I ?
A brilliant strategist, Monash commanded the Australian Corps on the Western Front, pioneering tactics that combined infantry, artillery, tanks & aircraft
At the Battle of Hamel in 1918, his meticulously planned offensive achieved its objectives in just 93 minutes
His guiding principle was to achieve military victory while minimising the loss of Australian lives
But how many Australians also know that Monash was:
1/ The founding honorary president of the Zionist Federation of Australia
2/ A principal organiser of ANZAC Day commemorations
3/ A passionate advocate for building Melbourne’s Shrine of Remembrance
In 1931, an estimated 300,000 Australians honoured him at his State Funeral
He was a decorated soldier, visionary leader, proud Jew & committed Zionist whose service helped shape modern Australia
Sir John Monash demonstrated that Jewish identity, Zionism & Australian patriotism are not competing loyalties
His legacy is a reminder that Jewish Australians have helped build, defend & shape this great nation
Proud Jews. Loyal Australians.

Andrew Barr says plans for a new stadium by the lake should factor in the ability to host cricket and AFL - but the Chief Minister's call has been met with a warning that "if a stadium tries to be all things to everybody, then the experience is going to be diluted".
