'These look vindictive, they are vindictive, I have no words to express the abuse of DOJ power that is happening right now.' Former District Attorney Mimi Rocah joins @jaketapper to react after DOJ charged former FBI Director James Comey for a third time.

On the evening of Thursday, Sep. 24, Year of our Lord 2026, an aged, addled Joseph Robinette Biden stood behind a podium with his beaming wife, Jill, and mumbled some mumbo jumbo about the glories of “abortion rights” before an admiring room of wealthy, educated, elite women in fancy gowns and high-heeled shoes. There he received Planned Parenthood of Delaware’s Sonia Schorr Sloan Service Award — for the “service” of aborting babies. Biden blushed and gushed and marveled at the “incredible honor.”

Law professor Josh Blackman called the NYT out on politically labeling conservatives more often than liberals, and editor Patrick Healy acknowledged he was right: “It can come off like The Times treats liberals as normal and conservatives as unique and worthy of labeling.”

On Monday morning, the “Big Three” of ABC, CBS, and NBC each dedicated a news brief on their lead morning shows to the results of the Brazilian presidential election, with far-left incumbent Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva defeating Senator Flávio Bolsonaro by a razor-thin margin. The networks, though, framed it as Lulu “soundly defeating” Bolsonaro in a “clear” victory. In reality, though, there was a litany of issues with the election, including a ruling by a justice on the Supreme Court — who also happens to be a former lawyer for Lula — that demanded polls reopen for two hours past closing time in pro-Lula precincts.

This year’s World Series, between the Milwaukee Brewers and the Tampa Bay Rays, is, according to Brady Brickner-Wood, rather quaint. Even in the divisional and championship series, when it became clear that the Brewers and the Rays were fated for a date in the Fall Classic, pundits began calling a possible matchup between the two a “nightmare” scenario for Major League Baseball. But Brickner-Wood encourages viewers to “revel in the series before us,” as “it’s the rare sort where underdogs vault into juggernauts and unsung stars become gods in the cities they play for.” Read more about the 2026 World Series teams, and the current state of baseball: newyorkermag.visitlink.me/pT…

Apparently someone decided there was more rock bottom to hit after the ad with Amy Acton's mom. Not affiliated with El Sayed's campaign but he's certainly not going to disavow it. I'm not in the "anti-Israel rhetoric is antisemitic" camp but this is pretty bad

There’s some irony in Rep. Ilhan Omar closing out her appearance at tonight’s I’m the Host Now event with Omar Fateh and Hasan Piker by declaring: “That Minnesota doesn't send people who are corrupt and are interested in enriching themselves.” Omar has faced repeated financial scrutiny over the years, including campaign-finance violations and questions surrounding her husband's businesses. Her disclosures initially valued those businesses at up to $30 million, prompting scrutiny from House Oversight Chairman James Comer. In April, she amended her disclosure citing accounting errors. And just this month, U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro confirmed a new federal investigation into Omar's financial disclosures.

Tim Miller is a catty little man.
This person is 62 years old. She has spent more money on botox, filler, and hair coloring than the median American income. A perfectly fine thing to do if you can afford it but don’t pretend to be in touch with the working class with a 6 figure face.

Bob Uecker's "I must be in the front row" Miller Lite ad became bigger than the commercial campaign itself. The spot dates to the early 1980s and fit Uecker's self-deprecating persona perfectly. He could be a baseball broadcaster, actor and comedian without changing the character much at all. Nobody played the lovable guy who knew he wasn't the star better than Uecker.
