This animated, fully rigged recreation of the Seoul Metro map has been over a month in the making. The final After Effects rig features 23 metro lines and 288 stations, is entirely data driven and responsive, and is fully reusable for other metros and transit networks.

Yes… Obviously! AI is an amplifier. I think 300 people have DMd me about video editing with Opus. “What skill should I use?” And I always tell them. Don’t “use” a skill “Learn a skill”… Take 20 hours over 2 weekends to learn premiere pro / davinci resolve or CapCut. Make a video manually. Learn the vocab. Learn pacing. Learn jumpcuts. Learn to make a good video. Then you’ll be able to take the expressions you’ve learned and turn it into repeatable workflows.
Unpopular opinion: the people getting the most out of AI are the ones who could do the work without it.

People think the trick is going to be the first to find where AI excells and to push that HARD. That's not where people will find success. People who succesfully use AI will find the thing THEY DO WELL that the AI can't do, and they will find clever ways that the AI does things that can work in tandem with each other. For example, you're not seeing video clips that enter the uncanny valley. The people who make quality AI videos know the limitations, they know not to enter the Uncanny Valley. So they make absurd animal clips with funny themes. The same will be true of gamedev. AI 3d art and animatoins aren't up to quality yet, but incrimental games are TOTALLY possible using prompts. But a succesful incrimental game needs a designer that knows how to make incrimntal games FUN. Everyone thinks AI is going to make the next Call of Duty absolutely next level. That's not where we're going to see AI absolutely shine, it'll be genres of game that can be fun in unique unexplored ways that the AI excells in, and AI is good at procedural things and math. Games in space, an earth sim with procedural terrain and incerdible new physics systems. AAA will be able to do more hybrid type stuff. Fantastical new physics sims with amazing character art and all that jazz. More important than knowing the emerging horizons, is understanding the limits. THAT is what will dictate the paths to success.

I’ve been working on a Claude mod/chrome to help with making tutorials for the last couple days called Rostrum, and it’s almost ready! Can’t wait to share it with yall. My goal is to completely eliminate the need for tools like Loom, and I’m going to be giving it away for free!

I’ve been creating tutorials for our clients at work about all these tiny annoying items that aren’t super easy to find in our software, and I think I’ve come up with a really cool solution to this problem that dramatically improves on stuff like Loom.

If it works out, it’s going to be a game changer for making software tutorials, training videos, and demos. Really pumped about this solution!

See, I did this because I don’t actually give a shit about sports, but I thought the idea of engaging with fantasy football the same way I play Satisfactory sounded super fun. So far, it’s been a blast.
can’t think of a better example of AI being mostly a solution to a problem that doesn’t exist also it can’t help when this is your user base

That said, I’m mostly using AI to build the statistical recommendation engine I’m using and having it help interpret the results, not just being like “hey Claude, run my team”

you know where in-the-moment, "system 1" type ai decision-making could be cool? music technology. jevseq is a demented multiplayer drum sequencer. you paint the world, jev walks it in real time, and tries its hardest to hit a snare on 2 and 4.

100 AI Styles in 100 Days Day 73/100: 📷 Art style: Vintage Folk Editorial Illustration + Mid-century European storybook art, whimsical caricature, hand-painted gouache, dry brush texture, rough ink lines, elongated proportions, flat bold colors, imperfect handmade shapes, retro children's book illustration. 📷Don Quixote rides Sancho Panza’s donkey into battle against a monster. :))) I think I’m starting to get a few ideas for what to do after my 100-day journey ends. 👀

> they risk alienating the paying base that actually drives revenue. do you really think professionals won't use a product because the default fps rate is 29.97, which they can change any time? we're talking about an fps rate, broadcasters won't care im also sure adobe makes far more money from people who use 30 fps than 29.97 fps. like, way more. also professionals and hobbyists go together, the way you're phrasing it makes it sound like it's either hobbyists or people who use 29.97 fps which is far from true. 99% of professionals use 30 fps and don't work for broadcasters

referring to AI models as "just math" or "matrix multiplication" is as uselessly reductive as referring to tigers as "just biology" or "biochemical reactions"
