In memory of Jim Tom 1940-2023, I think every band in our circles should take his Rye Whiskey song, sing it, remix it, and add it to your set in remembrance of this Legend. I know Hillbilly Nation LLC and Panhead Cooter & Little Diddle have a lot of connects in the music industry, and there is Low Down Revival, Kendra Hope Music, Cody Woody Official Music and so many others that could keep this song alive forever. I want to hear & share your version. Let's do this for Jim Tom.
And once you have a video performing it, please send it to me so I can share it with as many folks as possible. Thank you.
Lyrics:
"Rye whiskey, rye whiskey, please don't let me down. I'm gonna take me a drink, and I'll roam around. Check on my stills, and see if they're okay. Rye whiskey, rye whiskey, please last all day. I don't want to run out of my rye today, I won't have no more, or that's what they say. Rye whiskey, rye whiskey, please don't let me down. I've got to go make another round." -Jim Tom's Song. (played on a still)
