If we now understand that Euclid’s Fifth Postulate actually predicted non-Euclidean geometry, shouldn’t we be calling it hyper-Euclidean geometry instead? 🤔 Asking for myself.

Here's a piece of literature by me, suitable for seventeen-year-olds in Alberta schools, unlike -- we are told -- The Handmaid's Tale. (Sorry, kids; your Minister of Education thinks you are stupid babies.) John and Mary were both very, very good children. They never picked their noses or had bowel movements or zits. They grew up and married each other, and produced five perfect children without ever having sex. Although they claimed to be Christian, they paid no attention to what Jesus actually said about the poor and the Good Samaritan and forgiving your enemies and such; instead, they practised selfish rapacious capitalism, because they worshipped Ayn Rand. (Though they ignored the scene in The Fountainhead where “welcomed rape” is advocated, because who wants to dwell, and also that would have involved sex and would de facto be pornographic. Well, it kind of is, eh?) Oh, and they never died, because who wants to dwell on, you know, death and corpses and yuk? So they lived happily ever after. But while they were doing that The Handmaid’s Tale came true and Danielle Smith found herself with a nice new blue dress but no job. The end.

WCK’s mobile bakery in Gaza is currently producing 45,000 loaves of bread every day. With more supplies, including flour and fuel, we'd be able to more than double that daily output and support more Palestinian families in need. #ChefsForGaza

While investigating @Adobe for deceptive subscription practices, we discovered an executive admitting that hidden early termination fees are “a bit like heroin” for the company. Subscription tricks and traps have surged as more firms become dependent on subscription-based revenue. It’s up to consumer protection enforcers and lawmakers to stop the abuse.
Do I cancel 4 days early just for the bit? @Adobe This is fucking awesome, I love the way you guys operate, because like, the audacity is insane.

Brilliant insight/joke here … Don't worry if you didn't laugh out loud right away, because – apparently – neither did 99.8 % of survey respondents.

Communities know best what they need. We listen and deliver. As soon as the devastating earthquake struck Myanmar, WCK began working with communities to understand their needs. We identified where to serve warm meals—and also met families who preferred to cook for themselves but had lost access to ingredients due to supply chain disruptions and infrastructure damage. To meet their needs, we partnered with local businesses to assemble three types of food kits tailored to different community contexts. In total, we provided more than 114,000 kits containing ingredients for nearly 5 million meals. #ChefsForMyanmar

Today was one of those days in Kharkiv. During the night, the city was attacked 24 times, 14 strikes from enemy drones (UAVs) 10 missile strikes The attacks caused damage to residential buildings, schools, a hotel complex, and several industrial sites. One of the missiles hit the facility where our @WCKitchen hot meal partner kitchen, *Frunze*, is located. Thanks God were no casualties. Within just a few hours, teams managed to restore nearly everything at the damaged location. Our *Frunze* partner provided sandwiches to everyone on site while our *Chuhuiv* partner delivered hot meals to shelters and offered support to emergency responders and volunteers. #ChefsForUkraine
