Talking to a student at a CalArts event last night.
STUDENT: Industry is so broken.
ME: Sure. It breaks all the time. Then guess what happens? The brave and bold build it back up with new things. This too shall pass. Patience, grass hopper.
STUDENT: So what can I do?
ME: Get better and survive. Your day will come.

For a company that makes such a big show of diversity and inclusion, Riot sure is willing to spend a lot of time and money weeding out anyone who doesn't fit | This Week in Business

The Australien Government and the Opposition have made an ad about electoral reforms, and it’s surprisingly honest and informative (and they're hoping you don't hear about it) #auspol

Labor’s missed opportunities:
- Not legislating @zalisteggall’s truth in political advertising bill
- No Murdoch Royal Commission
- No media misinformation laws
- No significant action on pressing cost of living issues
- Long Referendum campaign
- Ongoing decay in ABC

So hey here, I’m a person w/ an actual degree in African American studies who still works in the field.

‘Woke’ is a decades old slang term for ‘to be awoke’ to situations amongst African Americans dating back to the 1930s but popularized in the 1960s.

Senator Lana Theis accused me by name of grooming and sexualizing children in an attempt to marginalize me for standing up against her marginalizing the LGBTQ community...in a fundraising email, for herself.

Your work is gorgeous. I loved this gif. Starts with some super adorable raccoons, but that's not even the reveal. <3
Thank you.

Did you know the average period of time a person is held in immigration detention is:
UK: 14 days
US: 55 days
Australia: 689 days*
We must end Australia’s mandatory detention policy.
*this does not include 8-9 years we hold people offshore or medevac refugees here either

Would you help me tweet this around the world?

But kindness does not = justice
Civility counts
But civility is not the humane response to injustice
Justice is
Love is essential
But love is not a passive, weeping bystander
Love puts in work.

“Covid zero is impossible with omicron, so what’s the point in even trying to reduce/slow transmission?”
My answer: 🧵 1/

Breathtaking doublespeak from Murdoch’s monopoly. They savaged VIC for reintroducing masks last week, but now they’re backing Morrison’s plea to wear them! We’re still gathering basic facts about Omicron. The only ‘handbrake’ on recovery is Murdoch’s covid disinformation.

So I put out the call to everyone who went to the #sydneyprotests & #Melbourneprotest to email me at work to help join protests for the human rights of refugees, given they care so much about ending persecution of people. Here’s the response I got today…
