I am annoyed by both the nothing changes crowd and the naive everything is going to be just fine crowd. Both are fundamentally passive orientations.
History has shown us that they WILL fumble the bag, so the last part...
It's looking like a Democrat Party wave tonight, a total referendum against Trump's agenda. What will Democrats do with this new power? If they continue the wars, the austerity, enriching the billionaires and do nothing to fundamentally change things, we'll end up right back in an even worse fascist hell.
Movement building after this must continue to force the changes we need. Do not go back to brunch. Get organized.

The original poster prob wasn't around for this so I'll clarify: the "hip hop all star special" was Arsenio's last show on May 27, 1994. It was a surprise for him. Every artist on that stage was indebted to him bc Arsenio was the only late night talk show giving hip hop airtime.
