me-02 tracking towards being the sole republican non-redistricting pick up is rough and worth doing introspection on how we got here.

Prepare yourself for a lot of these takes. The simple reality is that, relative to the national swing, moderate Dems over-performed and left wing Dems underperformed. This isn’t surprising. The country is still center-right.
Angie Nixon will likely lose by only three points. A progressive Bernie Sanders-backed DSA member will only lose Florida by 3, and only slightly underperform David Jolly. Absolutely insane and one of the greatest results I've ever seen for progressives.

You can have your complaints about Schumer, and I certainly have mine, but he recruited and helped fund all but one of the candidates that are flipping Senate seats. Will be hard to get those Senators to vote against him as leader. – at Amboy, IL
Folks, @SenSchumer has to be removed as Dem leader. He's a waste.

This was a very good night for center-left and moderate Dems. A big win in the House means the DSA can’t hold the Party hostage like the Freedom Caucus did with the GOP. Speaker Jeffries will be a solid, common-sense leader. Above all, this was a massive rebuke of Donald Trump.

No we called you hateful becuase you you do not like Jews.
Abdul El-Sayed: They try to call you hateful if you believe that Palestinian kids should get to grow up in the land of their forefathers without being murdered by our tax dollars. If you believe in equal rights to peace, dignity, and self-determination, that's not hate. It's love. Michiganders, we want our taxes spent here.

Black and Jewish voters ain't like white leftists.
Black and Jewish voters being practical despite the shitshow this race has been is something I wish other voters would occasionally do and not leave the burden always to us.

Normal inclusive moderates are the face of the Democratic Party. Anything leftists touched *trailed* behind. By a lot.
It's not just Democrats winning: it's fresh, younger, more populist Dems. I really hope they become the face of the Party - now.

They'll somehow blame El-Sayed and Jackson underperforming and Nixon losing on "the establishment" instead of acknowledging they were bad candidates
“Progressive candidate outperform the fundamentals challenge” unfortunately will be entering year 11

The radicalization of primary voters has made American politics follow a very predictable pattern *Republicans win* "WHOO HOOO. EVERYONE LIKES OUR POLICIES! MAGA OR GTFO!" *Normal people hate their policies. They get their ass kicked.* Democrats: "Whooo hooo! Everyone likes our policies! Time to cause a bunch of inflation with poorly thought out stimulus policies and restrictions on mining and oil production!" *Normal people hate their policies. They get their ass kicked.* Republicans: "Whooo hoo! Everyone likes our policies! Time to cause a bunch of inflation with unpopular wars in the Middle East!"

That’s a normal lefty underperformance.
So after, well, everything, AES is running about 2% behind Benson in MI. Which is not nothing, but isn’t a stunning deficit either.

The DSA’s worst nightmare is Democrats proving they can win WITHOUT embracing socialism or extremism. James Talarico wins TEXAS. Roy Cooper flips NORTH CAROLINA. Mainstream Democrats are breaking through Republican territory. The DSA confuses ideological purity with electoral strength. Americans want affordability, public safety, competent government, and results that help their lives get better. Most Americans are nauseated by ideological lectures, political purity tests, and revolutionary cosplay. The Democratic Party doesn’t need to move further left to win. It needs to remember how to appeal to people outside its own political bubble. Sticking to real Democratic values. By focusing on the demands of Americans is how you build a governing majority.
Normie Dems winning in red districts is also bad news for DSA.

El Sayed is underperforming comparatively to other Democrat candidates. He’ll probably ride the blue wave and win but something for Dems to think about.
