One of the things I asked Tarun Garg, MD @HyundaiIndia yesterday was about HMG battery partnership with Exide. Things are off the boil for now quite clearly although Garg was confident that Hyundai will be working with Indian suppliers soon for batteries and expressed confidence in them mentioning how domestic cells are being made to a limited extent for 2/3 wheelers.
He also stated, quite clearly, that Hyundai's new 'Designed For India' electric vehicle which is expected to be introduced in Q4FY26 (Bharat Mobility Show?) will use LFP cells. This should definitely help Hyundai from a cost perspective with the competition - all current Hyundai and Kia EVs use LG Chem NMC cells.
As for the Bayon, can't wait to drive it, and I'm intrigued with the integrated AI. Since I already have a @perplexity_ai Pro account, I'm curious if I can do my AI-based projects while driving.

What a cracker of a machine! 🧨
Drove the Škoda Kylaq MT over the past few days and had a great time with it! The 1.0 TSI is fun and the slick 6-speed manual makes it even better.
The clutch is a bit stiff for bumper-to-bumper traffic and I got around 10.2 km/l. But the way it moves, with that creamy-smooth engine and flickable character, makes it a joy to drive. I simply loved it!
Overall, a pretty solid VFM package. Looks lovely too!

🇮🇳 India Proposes Major Vehicle Safety Regulations
🏷️ Cmvr Amendment Rules, 2026
✅ The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has published draft rules to further amend the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989, under Section 110 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
1️⃣ Advanced Emergency Braking System (AEBS) | Rule 96
➡️ M1 and N1 category vehicles manufactured on or after 1 October 2028, if equipped with AEBS, must conform to AIS-185, as amended from time to time.
➡️ M1 category vehicles manufactured ::
🏷️ on or after 1 October 2030 (new models)
🏷️ 1 October 2032 (all models) must be fitted with AEBS conforming to AIS-185, as amended from time to time.

2️⃣ Steering Effort & Automatic Command Steering Functionalities (ACSF) | RULE 98(3)
➡️ From 1 October 2027, steering effort on all motor vehicles, except three-wheelers not fitted with a steering wheel, motorcycles and invalid carriages, must conform to AIS-193, as amended from time to time.
➡️ M1 category vehicles manufactured on or after 1 October 2027, if equipped with Automatic Command Steering Functionalities (ACSF), must conform to AIS-193, as amended from time to time.
➡️ M1 category vehicles registered as transport vehicles, manufactured on or after 1 October 2029, must be fitted with ACSF conforming to AIS-193, as amended from time to time.

3️⃣ Emergency Lane Keeping System (ELKS) | RULE 98
➡️ M1 category vehicles manufactured on or after 1 October 2027, if equipped with an Emergency Lane Keeping System (ELKS), must conform to AIS-191 (Part 1), as amended from time to time.
➡️ M1 category vehicles registered as transport vehicles, manufactured on or after 1 October 2029, must be fitted with ELKS conforming to AIS-191 (Part 1), as amended from time to time.
