Every anti-Paxton Republican I talked to was sick of exactly this kind of crap. They want the party to grow up, stop acting like Biff from Back to the Future, and actually try competence and integrity for a change.

Democrats should do the Stefanik college president hearings in reverse. Get college presidents on the record saying that students have the right to peacefully protest and to say controversial--even offensive-- things. Get them on the record that scholars should not punished for their views and that universities will protect foreign students targeted for their views. Demand that the last three years of McCarthyism and cowardice end now.

Long time Exec Director of Mi Republican Party when it was the gold standard of state parties.
Tonight is likely to be a rejection of @MikeRogersForMI. All my tweeting aside, Iβve known Mike & Kristi for 30+ years, I know how much it will hurt to lose. If that happens, I hope they accept this in the spirit in which this is offered: You deserve to be miserable after the appalling bigotry youβve spread like napalm. Go away.
