Imagine being a 17yo kid. You're down 5 with 3.8 seconds left in the State Championship. Then this happens

As much noise and negativity as there is surrounding AI, reality is there’s no slowing it down. For the U.S. it’s either risk falling behind or continue investing aggressively. AI has become a matter of economic and technological leadership. The rest of the world isn’t going to stop just because public sentiment in America turns negative. If OpenAI slows down, Anthropic will get ahead. If Anthropic slows down, OpenAI will. If U.S. labs slow down, China will get ahead. Nobody wants to be the one that slows down first. Why? The cost of being wrong likely means losing leadership in what appears to be the most important technology of this generation. The AI trade isn’t dead yet in my view.

JR Smith throwing a no-look lob in transition to LeBron in Game 6 of The Finals will be one of my favorite basketball plays as long as I am on this planet.
