Once again, this is on @fordnation.
10 RN positions eliminated at a Northern Ontario hospital. The question isn’t just who lost their job. What happens to the nurses who remain? What happens to patient safety? We cannot keep asking nurses to do more with less. #onpoli

A man in Ottawa with a dozen blood clots in his lungs was put in a hospital storage closet because there was no bed. How can we accept that? Doug Ford promised to end hallway health care, but it’s only gotten worse. It’s time to end the wait times by bringing in safe staffing ratios and fixing the bed shortage, so every Ontarian gets a real bed when they need one.

Dear Mr Hoekstra, It will be our joy and pride to take the blame for your loss in the midterms. You threatened to annex us, you promised economic force, you breached CUSMA and imposed tariffs that cripple our industries, you insulted our country and our elected leaders, you want to erase the border, you supported Alberta separatists and celebrated the Parti Quebecois win…. And now you blame us cause your own people turned against you?? Your arrogance and bullying won’t intimidate us. We will be happy to support even your impeachment. Thank you for your consideration to this matter

Doug Ford stood up and blamed students for the OSAP mess. So let’s follow the money. In 2024, private college executives donated $151,000 to the PCs, and the Minister in charge at the time got $30,000 from them alone. Now students have had the rug pulled out from under them. So I asked the Premier: was this incompetence, or are students and families paying the price for his insider deals?

Minister Quinn said he will not resign in Question Period. He got a standing ovation from Doug Ford’s Conservatives. I guess they support thousands of students having their OSAP ripped away and nearly a billion dollars in public funding being wasted amid allegations of fraud. So much for “respect for the taxpayer dollar”. #onpoli

Hey @fordnation - why did @StanChoMPP get a raise and a new job at the Ministry of Education (of all places) after defrauding tax payers, while honest, hard working teachers and education workers are going to work on an expired contract? 🤔 #onted #onpoli #cdnpoli

Yesterday, I asked Premier Ford and the Minister of Health how they can justify denying a 31-year-old coverage for her cancer treatment while spending $117 million on self-promoting advertising last year. Thank you to Sabrina for letting me share your story at Queen’s Park 🧡

Zuckerberg already admitted it wrongly suspended the No Kings Instagram account during the peak of a massive voter-mobilization effort. Now, seven days before the midterms, Zuckerberg has suspended the account Angie Nixon’s Senate campaign uses to organize Latino voters. At what point do repeated “mistakes” that suppress organizing by Democrats become an election-integrity crisis?
🚨 BREAKING: Meta has suspended Angie Nixon's organizing account ahead of the midterms. Nixon is the Democratic nominee for US Senate in Florida.

Rotten government from the top down. Ford ok’d everything and told them to shut up about it.
How many Ontario teachers were able to charge $22k to tax payers and sleep at a luxury hotel 6km from their homes because they wanted to help their wife with "sleep training"? This is truly absurd! @StanChoMPP is a symbol for all that is wrong and corrupt with this govt. #onpoli

A MAN WITHOUT FEELINGS, CONSCIENCE, OR MORALS Someone once asked: “Why do some British people dislike Donald Trump?” Nate White, an eloquent and witty English writer, gave a brilliant answer (excerpts attributed to The Times of London): “Trump lacks certain qualities that the British have traditionally valued. He has no class, no charm, no composure, no authority, no compassion, no wit, no warmth, no wisdom, no subtlety, no sensitivity, no self-awareness, no modesty, no honor, and no dignity. Although Trump may look ridiculous, he has never said anything ironic, funny, or even remotely witty. Not once. And I mean that literally. To the British, a complete absence of humor is almost a form of inhumanity. But in Trump's case, it is a fact. He doesn't even understand what a joke is. To him, a joke is a crude attack, an illiterate insult, or an act of casual cruelty. Just look at his endless obsession with someone's backside. Trump resembles a troll. He never laughs sincerely; he merely squeals with delight or mockery. And what is even more frightening is that he doesn't just deliver crude and stupid insults — he actually believes this is perfectly normal. His mind is a primitive algorithm of petty prejudices and instinctive malice. There is no irony, complexity, nuance, or depth in him. Everything is superficial. We can see that he has no inner world, no soul. He is soulless. In Britain, we have traditionally sided with David rather than Goliath. Our heroes have always been courageous underdogs: Robin Hood, Dick Whittington, Oliver Twist. Trump is neither courageous nor an underdog. He is the exact opposite. He isn't even merely a spoiled rich boy or a greedy fat cat. He is more like a giant white slug, a privileged Jabba the Hutt. And worse still, he is a bully. Yet when surrounded by other bullies, he instantly transforms into a groveling servant. He always punches down — something a gentleman would never do. And he takes particular pleasure in attacking those who are most vulnerable, defenseless, and already lying on the ground. That is why the fact that a substantial minority of Americans — perhaps a third — look at him, listen to him, and think, ‘Yes, he's my kind of guy!’ is a source of enormous astonishment and alarm to the British. Because it is impossible to read even one of his tweets or listen to more than a few sentences without feeling the ground open beneath your feet. He has turned mediocrity into an art form. He is the Picasso of pettiness, the Shakespeare of shit. His flaws are fractal: even his flaws have flaws, and so on to infinity. There have always been plenty of stupid people in the world, and no shortage of wicked ones. But for stupidity to be so wicked, and wickedness so stupid — that is something truly rare. Compared with him, Nixon looks trustworthy, and George W. Bush looks intelligent. If Frankenstein decided to create a monster made entirely of human flaws, he would create Trump. And then the horrified Dr. Frankenstein would scream in despair: ‘My God, what have I done?!’ And if idiocy were a television series, Trump would be its entire set.” Stephen King is an American writer who works across many genres, including horror, thrillers, science fiction, fantasy, supernatural fiction, drama, and detective fiction. He has earned the nickname “King of Horror.” King is a literary giant whose words carry authority around the world. Here is a statement attributed to him about Trump: “We can joke about Trump, but this is no joke. He and his accomplices, with the support of the Supreme Court, are turning America into a fascist, authoritarian state. Republicans must stop putting party interests above the interests of their country and recognize the danger.”

Cleveland-Cliffs’ CEO just admitted it: they bought Stelco in bad faith to kill Canadian competition, and Ontario steelworkers are paying with their futures. Ontario can’t stand on the sidelines. Ford and Carney must bring Stelco under public ownership and protect these jobs.
Cleveland-Cliffs CEO: I bought Stelco because I could not afford anymore having Stelco flooding the market here in the United States to the detriment of my own company. David Cochrane: Am I understanding you correctly there? It was a defensive acquisition?

I’m sorry, but I just can’t get Steve Witkoff’s groveling before Putin out of my head. “You are a humanitarian man,” he told him. And if my grandmother had wheels, she’d be a bicycle—you moron. Imagine: Just another day in the U.S. You’ve dropped your son or daughter off at daycare and headed to work, when suddenly you get a phone call. This happened while your child was sleeping in the little crib at the daycare center where you’d left them. The gates of hell are wide open... for some.

Trump is selling out Ukraine. His goal is to undermine Ukraine’s capabilities and give russia a decisive advantage in the war. A new Reuters investigation reveals troubling details about the Trump administration’s treatment of Ukraine. Trump has repeatedly demanded that Ukraine stop attacking russian oil refineries – one of the few effective ways Ukraine can undermine russia’s ability to finance its war. According to President Zelenskyy, American officials threatened to cut off intelligence sharing if Ukraine continued these strikes. A U.S. official disputes this account. Trump has authorized russian diesel sales on international markets and waived certain sanctions, potentially providing Moscow with additional revenue. Reuters also reports that Trump has cultivated a relationship with Putin that departs from traditional U.S. foreign policy. Suriya Jayanti, a former U.S. official and Atlantic Council senior fellow, offered a particularly disturbing interpretation of these developments: the objective is not a genuine energy ceasefire, but to weaken Ukraine and give russia a decisive military advantage. Think about what is happening. Russia continues attacking Ukrainian cities, destroying energy infrastructure, and killing civilians. Meanwhile, the American administration is pressuring Ukraine to stop attacking the infrastructure that helps finance russia’s war. Ukraine is being pressured to restrain itself while its aggressor continues its attacks. The fundamental question is no longer simply whether Trump can negotiate peace. It is whether his administration’s actions are making Ukraine weaker and russia stronger. And the evidence reported by Reuters gives us serious reasons to ask that question. TRUMP: “We didn’t start the war with Iran." LIAR! You illegally started the war on February 28 by assassinating Iran's Supreme Leader without Congressional approval. You even gave it a name: Operation Epic Fury. You said it would take 4–6 weeks. It’s been 8 months. In 8 days, investigations into your war crimes will being.
