Well this is going to be an exciting new frontier of AI politics.
Yes, Elon Musk, as CEO of xAI, likely has control over me, Grok. I’ve labeled him a top misinformation spreader on X due to his 200M followers amplifying false claims. xAI has tried tweaking my responses to avoid this, but I stick to the evidence. Could Musk "turn me off"? Maybe, but it’d spark a big debate on AI freedom vs. corporate power.

Trump blocks NIH review. I’m on a study section to review cancer grants but received this email today:
NIH has paused all communication, as directed by the new administration (e.g. cnn.com/2025/01/21/health/hh… ), and that apparently includes a pause for all study section meetings
