Bitcoin Policy UK has repeatedly warned about the risks to privacy and financial freedom when government identity systems become increasingly tied to access to money and essential services.
The national digital ID scheme has been cancelled but One Login continues to expand.
The safeguards protecting personal information and access to services deserve close scrutiny.
Britain scrapped digital ID. So why is the infrastructure still being built?
New figures from DCMS reveal more than 26 MILLION people have now used One Login.
Parliamentary evidence also confirms:
- Expansion towards 500 services
- HMRC joining the system
- Cross department identity matching in development
- Digital credentials for private sector use
DCMS says the system is separate from the cancelled scheme, that personal data is not linked across government databases and alternatives will remain available.
Is this a Digital ID through the back door?

Andy was right; use Google Maps to find cheaper fuel. The only problem is it’s in Venezuela.

I know people are worried about fuel prices. And I get it. You get to the pump, watch the numbers climb, and wonder why it's costing so much more than it used to.
The reality is that global events are pushing up costs, and families here at home are feeling the impact.
But I won't accept that there's nothing I can do to help.
That's why from today, you'll be able to see petrol and diesel prices on Google Maps, compare nearby stations and find the cheapest option before you fill up.
It's a small change, but if there's a practical way to help people keep more money in their pocket, I'll do it.

UPDATE: Charles Hoskinson slams the EU, says "why I don't trust you Europeans with your Digital Euro, is we all know what you're gonna do with it—asset and transaction discrimination. Don't believe it? Well then put it in some sort of law that you're not gonna do it."

Prices in the UK have absolutely lost the plot
£12 for fish and chips
Almost £2 per litre for fuel
£45 for a driving lesson
Over £2 for a bottle of pop
£20 for a takeaway for one person
£20 for a 15 minute taxi
Weekly food shop for one person £80
£100 a night for a "cheap" hotel
Rent prices through the roof
At this point we're just getting robbed.

Raising broadband prices by £132 every year in order to pay for the BBC is an insane policy.
Just end state funding. End the licences or the levies. Let the BBC move to a subscription model. Let people who watch or read the BBC pay for the BBC. Stop extorting those who don't.

So beautiful. This man had lost the ability to speak because of motor neurone disease. Neuralink implanted a device in his brain in January and now he can say “I love you” to his wife again … in his own voice.
Extraordinarily wonderful from @elonmusk ❤️

FLIPPER ONE SENDS DATA 150 KM OVER RADIO WITHOUT INTERNET, TECHNOLOGY COULD BE USED TO SEND BITCOIN TRANSACTIONS
Flipper says its upcoming LoRa module can send messages through a network of radio repeaters without relying on the internet.
In London tests, messages traveled more than 150 km through the MeshCore network.
The same technology could be used for Bitcoin transactions.
A signed Bitcoin transaction is a small piece of data. It could travel over LoRa radio, hop through repeaters and eventually reach a gateway connected to a Bitcoin node, which could broadcast it to the network.
That could give Bitcoin users another way to send transactions when local internet access goes down.

🚨NEWS: Apple has urged the Home Office to tell the truth about its request for the company to create a "backdoor" for officials to snoop on Britons' phones
The UK Government is completely tyrannical and has been telling Apple to secretly allow them to look into the phones of IOS users
But the Government made a legal gag stopping themselves from revealing this because they wanted the whole thing to be a secret
When the Government is legally threatening itself to keep secrets about spying on its own people you know you're living in 1984
