Know how much Julius Malema lost after 417 councillors lost their jobs.
Councillors earn plus or minus R30 000
After tax they carry home plus or minus R26 000.
EFF councillors were forced to donate 40% of that salary = R10 400.
-10 400 ×417
= 4 336 800.
This is R4.3 million, ( monthly)

Before I sign off on this topic. I do not know the journalist Alpha. Never met him. But I do know about the EFF's noxious abuse of journalists whose questions they find inconvenient. I'm not talking about their supporters (one should not lose sleep over strangers calling journalists, especially women, difebe, making references to their weight etc). I am talking about EFF leadership and their historic vitriol against journalists. Once the leadership enters the fray, they hunt like packs and swarm their target with abuse. Which includes labels like "most useless journalist." Because it came from a DP, it should not be left unchallenged. Alpha is lucky because he is a man. The insults would be worse if he were a woman.
Nonetheless, he needed to know that others - men and women - have experienced this. He must stand and do his job. Long after they jump ship, fight amongs themselves, implode or lose votes, he will still be standing with his microphone and pen! He needed to know that.

I am growing increasingly concerned about the conduct of this department. The Madlanga Commission must look into it when it resumes, as something is fundamentally amiss.
This is the same department under whose final responsibility IDAC falls, IDAC which operated unchecked and outside its mandate under their supervision.
