Isnβt this exciting - in Northern Ireland they can form an ALL PARTY group on UBI !!!
In the UK generally we could do the same except we lack One Party - The Tory Party,
Whatever happened to the One Nation Tories?

A modest #BasicIncome could cut poverty to the lowest level for 60 years at no net cost.
We can't afford not to pay attention. #UBI

Whatever your politics, don't sit out #AE22 today - get to a polling station & vote. There's a decent range of candidates to choose from right across the political spectrum. It's far better to at least try to change things than to stay on the sidelines & whinge.

One reason UBI vs UBS = false debate. We need both. UBS provides a decent quality of life, democratic oversight & efficient, needs-based allocation of public goods. UBI rebalances power, value, dignity & respect
Also why MIG isn't enough (also less efficient & still stigmatising)

One of the lesser discussed benefits of #UniversalBasicIncome is how it would completely reform the idea of work and *everyone's* relationship to it. Our contribution to society would be significantly revalued.
