TODAY - Academic Workers at @UCLA deliver an Unfair Labor Practice directly to the office of the Dean of the Life Sciences. Their retaliation doesn't scare us. They're retaliating because they're afraid!

ALT A photograph of a door to an office on the UCLA campus with a very large printout of an Unfair Labor Practice charge taped to it. The door itself is blocked by the first page of an official ULP charge. Next to the door is an equally-large printout of the illegal email the Dean of the Life Sciences sent to intimidate workers last week with large read text reading 'UNFAIR LABOR PRACTICE' written over it.

BREAKING - 36,558 total votes were cast in UC Academic Workers’ Strike Authorization Votes, with 98% voting Yes to authorize a multi-unit strike if necessary. These are far and away the largest and most decisive strike authorization votes ever taken by Academic Workers in the US.

UCPD has been profiling, targeting, harassing Black & Latinx students using the student strike as pretext. The @divestucla faculty stand with @dsuucla @UCLAPresident & other student orgs to demand that this stop immediately. Here’s our letter to UCLA administration.

I want to congratulate the @UCLAPresident, @dsuucla and all the UCLA Mother Orgs for fighting for accessibility for all.
I know all your demands were not met, but you moved the needle forward, and made important gains.
I stand in solidarity with you.

Hate to have to say this but let's not swarm this person. He's one example of many. Focus efforts on administration.
We reject this rhetoric from professors. Research shows otherwise, and so does observation. Your students will do better if they're not coming to class sick and infecting other students. If online learning were truly inferior @UCLA wouldn't have online master's programs.
