Honestly, anyone would be disappointed. I find the university management's handling of this situation deeply irresponsible. People don't just wake up and attend an induction ceremony. There is a lot of planning involved. Students make arrangements, invite family members, organise transportation, buy food, make financial commitments and prepare for the occasion. Some families may even travel from distant locations to be part of the celebration.
After all that preparation, cancelling the induction at short notice is extremely unfair to the students and their families.
If the university knew there were challenges with the induction arrangements, why wasn't this communicated to the students much earlier? Why allow people to make all these preparations before announcing a cancellation?
This is fundamentally an issue of poor planning, communication and accountability. The students deserve better. The least the university management could have done was communicate transparently and give everyone sufficient notice.

The Nigerian education system have zero respect whatsoever for people's time and it's very terrible. The VC and HOD should be dismissed from the service in a normal working country. Alas, a normal working country

After 5 long years in UNN, 0'25 Medical Laboratory Science students were seen on their knees pleading with their HOD for their licenses💔
If someone explains UNN to you and you think you understand, you're crazy.
PICTURE OF THE DAY 💔 : A prospective inductee was seen sharing her induction food with people at the UNEC main gate today following the abrupt cancellation of the 0'25 Medical Laboratory Science induction.

This is not fair at all and it's a joke that only medical laboratory science can be treated this way. After all the expenses incurred preparing for induction, you canceled it?

Imagine waiting almost a year after graduation for your induction, only for it to be postponed again. Some people will be travelling long distances to attend.💔
