Refs have been ruining seasons for years, often to the benefit of the Packers, and it was always labeled “excuses” or “sour grapes”
But now that the Packers are getting a taste of what most of the rest of the league has been getting, suddenly it’s a media worthy crisis
In my 19 years covering the Packers on a daily basis, I've never written a blame-the-refs story. Yeah, I get it, the Packers beat themselves, too, but what happened at Ford Field was unaccepable, an embarrassment and, to quote Xavier McKinney, bullshit. ⬇️

Lions got hit with that exact roughing call two weeks ago. You cannot leave your feet at the QB, period--even if you do exactly what the rules dictate (which Brooks did). They're calling it every time.
