Getting smear test: Notes that my last period was a while ago. "Could you be pregnant?" "No and I'm gay" "...well, you could have had dalliances..." "Umm..no..I'm gay." WTF @NHS_Lothian? Maybe make your smear-test campaign LGBTQ+ friendly in practice?!

There are some people in Edinburgh that are the human equivalent of an ingrown hair and then there are these people. Be like these people. #TransRightsAreHumanRights
Absolutely lovelovelove these chocolate bars from @QuirkyGiftsUK. My little queer heart (and tastebuds) are dancing with joy! Representation and being locally made just makes the chocolate taste even sweeter πŸ’œπŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆπŸ’› #lgbtq #yumyumyum

If you get a call like this, cancel your card and change your online banking details-the scammers might know parts of your old details and changing it stops them accessing anything they could potentially have.
My advice if you ever get a call from a number that looks like the bank, hang up and call the number on the back of your card and double check, no matter how much pressure the scammers appear to put on you. It left me feeling sick and shaken at how convincing they were.

The person from BoS said so they do have some knowledge to make it sound real. At the bank, if they suspect fraudulent activity, they will put your account on hold, contact you via text, then call and NEVER need you to transfer your money to an external account to "secure" funds

An RBS account to which they said was the same thing. I admittedly have little knowledge of bank these days and it breezed past me but in hindsight, that was a massive red flag. The scammers know the lingo, even when I asked how the "fraud" happened, they did say exactly what...

On my account and they said no and I told them what had happened. I'm with BoS and they text first if there is a problem and you respind yes/no and then they call you back. The scammers claimed to be RBS (which I picked up on partway through the call and told them I didn't have..

If the bank had called me, I could still speak to someone even if it's someone else. The scammer said something about waiting times being long and that if any further activity ocurred, they wouldn't be liable. I called the bank and asked them if there was any fraudulent activity

That was the exact same number as the 24hour helpline on the back of my card and they said they did this to make people feel safer and assured that it's from the bank. I said I still felt uncomfortable and then said I was going to call the bank myself...

And account number and the safest thing would be to secure my funds by transferring it into another account (not one on the app, but to an external account). This made me feel uncomfortable and I said so and then they called me back from a different number...

I said I couldn't remember so they said there was another way-go into my online account and tell them my top 3 transactions and if I have any other accounts with them (which I did). They then said that since the "fraudster" used my card, they were going to give me a new sort code
