I found out recently about a pair of commercially available speakers that bear an uncanny resemblance to one of my most popular designs. sites.google.com/site/undefi…

+1 for fixing appliances being oddly satisfying
I'm fascinated by the rise of frictionmaxxing as a response to a frictionless life. We engineer away inconvenience, only to discover that some of the friction we removed was part of what made life feel alive in the first place

Hello computer. Decompile and distill Grand Theft Auto. Make the game set in my hometown -- use Google Earth to reconstruct it in pixel-perfect detail. Make the character me and have my spawn point be in the mansion I always look at on Zillow. Review my chat memory and make every mission about my hopes and dreams. Make it playable online so my friends can join. When you're done, sell all my video games on Ebay and use that money to fund tokens for my next game.

things in everyday life AI has made worse: customer service, job hiring processes, Google search functionality, finding accurate info online, relationships with colleagues who use it to read emails & then misunderstand, trust between student & professor, online shopping . . .
In what way has it made your life worse? Is seeing dumb videos that much of a stressor for you?

Every compact disc can be played on a turntable. Simply flip the disc over (data side up) and place the stylus on the outside edge, much like you would with a vinyl. The needle will "lock in" to the disc surface, adding analog warmth to any digital recording.

it's always so funny when people are trying to sell their used couch for $1500 on fb marketplace. a couch on fb marketplace costs $200. they're always like "i paid $4000 for this couch." not my problem man. should have bought it on fb marketplace, where a couch costs $200

Ha! You're absolutely right. There *is* a 737 waiting to take off on Runway 19. 🛫 I probably shouldn't have cleared AA5404 to land there. 😳 I'm here if you need any tips and tricks for handling mass casualty incidents. 🚒🚑✨

There are 5-6 secret additional hours between 1 and 3 am if you know how to do it correctly. This will take years off your life and make you look and feel like shit but also it is peak Going On The Computer Time
Once you completely unmoor your sleep schedule from the rising and setting of the sun, you can access new, formerly grayed out sections of space-time, sort of the dust in between the stars, and most crucially, use it to cram 48 to 96 hours worth of screen time into one single day
