Steve got one-shot by Thanos in a 1v1 whose stated to be weaker than Hulk by the Russos, just a more skilled fighter.
Red Hulk certainly has strength and speed feats in the film, but besides that, BNW’s director said he scales to the Hulk.
Replying to @VegetaIV
Steve fought against Loki, Ultron and Thanos for a while prior to having mjolnir, Red Hulk himself has no feats so how would Sam barely injuring him scale him above Steve fighting any of those people in any capacity?
Sam has better endurance.
Sam’s able to cut and use Vibranium kinetic force to seriously bruise a Hulk.
He can speed blitz.
Steve isn’t taking that fight at all.
There wasn't one person able to make a coherent argument against my tweet.
The point ultimately isn't about Steve's strength, because Captain America isn't about being the strongest Avenger, it's about resilience.
Steve Rogers retired, explicitly stated he was no longer Captain America, and took control behind the scenes before this panel.
There's no "deeper meaning" here, HYDRA Steve is just conveying exactly what the ACTUAL Steve Rogers had stated was his position multiple times before.
Steve needs to be fucking obliterated by the end of this film, man.
I'm not against Chris Evans coming back. I've accepted the movie's emotionally about the Big 3 (Steve, Thor, RDJ) of the MCU.
But I don't want this duo clogging up screentime in Secret Wars.
The people who oppose Sam Wilson becoming Captain America because of it being "propaganda" are simply not fans of the character in any form.
He's the most prominent CAPTAIN AMERICA sidekick, the ideals he now more visibly promotes have always been indivisible from the character.
You'll know when we're in the perfect Sam Wilson: Captain America run when they use MCU synergy to get rid of Joaquin Torres' ugly ass bird hybrid physiology.
He stole all of Jace Fox's design elements from his Batman suit after ignoring Tamara Fox while she was in a coma, fuck that suit!

About Captain America: Symbol of Truth...
Tochi Onyebuchi was born in the U.S. into Nigerian culture, so I can understand and empathize with the idea of exploring people across the Black diaspora immigrating to Wakanda...
But Sam Wilson doesn't need to fight White Wolf.
The MCU has generally mishandled Sam Wilson's Captain America, but you know there's a pervasive racist response to the character just by the "Super Soldier Serum" dogwhistle.
Because Sam Wilson is beating ANY version of Steve Rogers' ass that doesn't have access to Mjolnir.
