Yesterday was a big win for America’s health. The following doctors and nurses won their elections:
Senate
• Dr. Annie Andrews (MD, pediatrician) - South Carolina
• Dr. Abdul El-Sayed (MD, epidemiologist & former Detroit health director) - Michigan
Governor
• Dr. Amy Acton (MD, MPH, former Ohio health director) - won Ohio
House
• Dr. Richard Pan (MD, MPH, pediatrician) - California
• Dr. Adam Hamawy (MD, surgeon) - New Jersey
• Dr. John Cowan (MD, neurosurgeon) - Georgia
• Mitchell Berman (RN, ER nurse) - Wisconsin
• Kristina Knickerbocker (APRN-CNP, neuro-oncology nurse practitioner & Air Force veteran) - Ohio
Plus reelected nurses Lauren Underwood (IL) and Sheri Biggs (SC), and several physician incumbents who held their seats.
Health care professionals just got a much louder voice in our country. 🩺 🇺🇸

Bad policy, bad character make bad politics: erratic tariffs, impulsive Iran war, blanket pardons, apparent corruption, weaponized justice, ICE brutality, mountainous deficits, hiding Epstein, abandoning allies and coddling enemies. Hoping for a course correction, for the country and for my party.

Americans don’t like chaos, narcissism, tariffs, corruption, Putin, rudeness to our allies, arrogance & indecency. The GOP should embrace our roots: free markets, economic freedom, peace through strength, federalism, law and order, low taxes, pro-life… and we should act like leaders of the free world.

One thing my family has always taught me is to be gracious in defeat. Congratulations to our Democrat friends on a hard fought battle. Enjoy the victory.
I genuinely hope both sides can work together for the good of the country. It’s time for some true soul searching, republicans.

After the Biden era, Americans wanted an economy that worked for them. Instead, they received a hastily executed war, headline after headline of scandals, a ballooning $40 trillion debt, and unpredictable tariffs.
It’s time for Republicans to return to the principled conservative values that once defined us—and that we've steadily abandoned over the last decade.

We've been hearing multiple reports that there is a 'd' in 'handkerchief.'
We're monitoring the situation.

Anakin is a deeply entitled person who believes his desires trump the free choice of everyone else. He descends into a violent psychosis where he slaughters a bunch of kids he's personally responsible for and then chokes his pregnant wife for refusing to go along with it.
It's a tragedy because the seeds of a true hero are in there, too. But ultimately, his selfishness comes to define him.
If you watch these films and find yourself identifying with Anakin, or explaining how his actions were actually justified, then you're probably a terrible person.
Gen Z gets Anakin. Boomers still don’t.
He wants power, love, freedom, and a life that matters.
His elders would like him to be patient.
Anakin Skywalker has rescued the Chancellor, fought a galactic war, and lost a hand on the job. Unfortunately, management has concerns about his attitude.
The Jedi Council acknowledges his extraordinary potential.
Whether he should be allowed to do anything with it without supervision remains under review.
You can see why the Anakin memes have found an audience.
The third installment of the prequels has been going viral on X with Gen Z asking, “Wasn’t Anakin… the good guy?”
But his appeal goes deeper than handsome-man-with-a-lightsaber edits.
Anakin wants a consequential life.
He wants mastery, adventure, recognition, and love.
He wants independence and his mentors’ approval.
He wants to protect Padmé and remain a Jedi.
He wants responsibility before he fully understands what it costs.
That conflict gives him an emotional life richer than the standard diagnosis of an entitled young man who needs to calm down.

Hey just so you know, Darth Vader was the bad guy. Like famously the bad guy who let himself be manipulated by the literal emperor of evil.
The entire hero's journey for Luke in the OT is undoing Vaders mistakes, not listening to emperor of evil, and saving his father's soul.

LYMAN VS MCCAY DEBATE RECORDING CONTROVERSY!!!
I believe the reason why the @AFP_Utah requested I takedown the video was less about the debate and more about protecting @danmccay from the public seeing his generational crash out on @phil_lyman at the end. It was truly like watching a car crash. Never seen someone crash out harder in a public debate if I'm being honest. Deeply personal, angry, vitriolic, histrionic no substance.
What do those who watched the debate think?

The disgusting attack ad in the Ohio governor’s race points to a much bigger problem in politics. The political parties don't care about the character or integrity of their candidates anymore. They only care about power — no matter what it takes. We need common sense leadership, and once again, the parties are failing to meet the moment.

Well, well, well….
An analysis of voter registration records reveals Republican operative Scott Presler had 3 out-of-state voters use his Pennsylvania address to vote in the 2024 election.
This is what voter fraud looks like.
VenZenix retweeted
There needs to be more said about the fact @ScottPresler got caught housing out-of-state strangers in his Pennsylvania home, so they can technically "live in PA" and use his address to vote.
Yes, the big "Register to Vote" guy is circumventing election laws to try and cheat for Pennsylvania.
When a MAGA Republican makes an accusation — any accusation — it's important to realize you just witnessed a confession.

Yes, BYU awarded Mike Lee a B.S. in Political Science in 1994 (plus a J.D. in 1997). Official bios and congressional records confirm it.
BYU teaches about Hitler and Nazism mainly through history courses such as HIST 314 (Fascism and Nazism in Europe), covering origins, rise to power, propaganda, racism, genocide and legacy, and HIST 315 on the Holocaust, examining motives, methods and implications under the Third Reich.
