ripping the energy out of the planet’s veins as she screams. no, no, no it’s a good thing please you have to trust me this will be good
It's easy to love a baby, they barely have wills of their own. It's much harder to give unconditional love and acceptance to a full grown adult whose neuroses have their origin in mistakes you yourself made

This is why you apply pressure to and hold politicians accountable even if you support them. It’s your responsibility.

Venture bros is THE nerd show of all time but there are a few story choices that they’d never have done today, and while Hunter detransitioning is one of them it’s not even the biggest one
One character that’s prominent for like 3 straight seasons is just a pedophile

i cannot believe this isnt like, staged.... like how is this not staged!!! what do you MEAN all they apparently needed only 900k USD??? when the city council has a budget of 7b USD?????????? they just genuinely wanted to close the museum silently without anybody making a fuss
If you watch only one clip from the Philadelphia City Council hearing about the closure of the Academy of Natural Sciences, let it be this one. It — and I don't say this lightly — must be seen to be believed. #SaveTheAcademy

In laymans terms,
Titanium implants are strong and the body accepts them, but they’re way too stiff
because the metal takes almost all the pressure, the real bone next to it gets lazy and starts to weaken over time (like a muscle that doesn’t get used).
This was the issue with earlier titanium implants and joint replacements
the new implant though are made from a special zinc alloy shaped like a lightweight, sponge-like lattice
it is flexible and almost like real bone, so it shares the load properly and doesn’t cause that weakening problem
Whats REALLY fucking cool is that its also designed to dissolve over time
So its a temporary implant, and as it dissolves, it releases minerals and ions that actually promote your new, healthy bone in its place
When the job is done, the implant is mostly gone and your own bone has taken over and is the proper strength
-medical engineering is a marvel
today while talkin to my friend (who’s a doctor) I learned something really crazy
That the titanium implants don't just sit in bone they actually bone grows into them
the oxide layer on titanium surface is chemically close enough to biological tissue that cells can't find the boundary so they erase it
osseointegration isn't the implant holding on it's biology deciding the metal belongs there
the skeleton adopts the foreign object as its own
Cyborg vibes

Big announcement. I'm starting to finally publish my writing, and I will start with the first story of #BloodOrder. Link below for the Drive file.
Feel free to comment and ask; I want this to be the start of a "community" of sorts.
Here is a shameless art repost.

I'm about to pass out from actually drawing the thing first but what's the easiest possible video editing software I could use on PC to at least throw a song on over an image? Instagram really scratched an itch for me with getting to add song clips, helped get my feelings across

Yeah bro it’s lit. We got a newly verified species that was the source of controversy for actual decades and still requires a lot of study. And we’re gonna sell it on the open market to a private bidder with no guarantee of it being accessible to research institutions. It’s lit.
