We engage with RFMOs who oversee #highseas #tuna #fisheries to ensure #seabird #bycatch mitigation measures are implemented and enforced. While use and compliance has increased over the years, there is still much work left to do to keep #albatrosses off the hook! 📸: Steph Prince

#RoyalCam chick is 202 days old.
She weighed 8.5 kg – a good weight which means no supp. feeding required.
She also had her leg band checked, a pre-flight recheck to ensure it is secure.
Mum in, 'bling' done & weight OK. Check - all good for QT.

While we were hoping #VoteToroa would have enjoyed a larger voting turnout compared to last year, we're ecstatic that another critically endangered manu got some time in the spotlight.

She has earned her wings now.
What an amazing journey to watch this chick learn to fly.
Happy & safe eating Tiaki.

This trio perform their ecstatic displays to one another, but in the end - BOK & Red seem to only have wings for one another.
Happy weekend.

Looking at the current polls, the best shot for a seabird victory is with @VoteToroa so make sure they're on your list.
Top 3 are Pekapeka, Kakapo and Kea.
2 of which have already had the title of #BOTY!
