Forget Halloween, it’s almost been 51 years since we lost the Edmund Fitzgerald. I’d rather drink for that.

TONIGHT! Daylight saving time ends at 2:00am ET and as a result, we all set our clocks back 1 hour. Except if you live in Ann Arbor, where you will set your clock back 1 hour and 1 second.
Enjoy the extra hour of sleep, Michigan.
Parents, please check your kids' Halloween candy before they get to it. Lot of sickos out there. Someone tried to give us a Dylan Larkin jersey!

With Larkin no longer on the active roster. Michael Rasmussen is now officially the longest Tenured Detroit Sports Athlete. Have Mercy.

That seals the deal for me
What little respect I had for him (very little) is gone
Cant believe I ever had the nerve to call this loser and quitter "El Capitan"
Good riddance man this is the first step to cleaning up the shitshow
There were talks in the the last 24 hours between Larkin's camp and the Red Wings, both last night and again this morning, and what was communicated from the agents to Detroit was that Larkin feels he's given the team ample time since his trade request in May to get a deal done. Larkin has had enough, so decision was made he won't play tonight nor for foreseable future hoping a trade materializes. Fluid situation still. Red Wings circling back to teams with interest, etc., as talks escalate.

Dylan Larkin’s legacy in Detroit will be the captain that quit on his team, demanded a trade, then refused to play because he didn’t get his way fast enough.
What a gutless way to go out.

No wonder the Wings collapsed in March 3 years in a row. They were lead by the biggest bitch in the league.

So, to recap the Larkin situation, this year he has:
- Said he wants to be a Red Wing for life
- Missed the playoffs again (scored one even strength goal after the Olympics btw)
- Demanded a trade (but only to the top 3 US contenders)
- Lost the captaincy
- Begrudgingly showed up to camp (but wouldn't *really* answer any questions & got "injured)
- Decided to play & said his focus was on winning games
- Expanded his trade list (to the top 10 US contenders)
- Publicly quit on his team for a second time
Missing anything? Seems like a really easy guy to root for

- Request trade from hometown team
- Only wants to go to a contender
- Gets injured
- Terrible on ice play
- Refuses to play
This is not a player the Detroit Red Wings want in their organization.
🚨LARKIN NOT PLAYING🚨
Reports confirm that Dylan Larkin will not play until he's traded (per @FriedgeHNIC), & trade talks have escalated (per @PierreVLeBrun). Interim GM Shawn Horcoff will "address the situation". #LGRW
Thoughts on 71 playing his last game with Detroit? ⤵️

Kerby’s 21-day practice window is open. Detroit has until Nov 18 to put him on the 53 or he’s done for 2026. That covers Minnesota this Sunday, Miami in Week 9, and New England in Munich in Week 10. I don’t see him for the Vikings. I’m taking New England in Germany as the first game, and I’m putting him at 50 percent of the snaps. Branch came back with 67% of the snaps against Green Bay. Good luck to anyone on our schedule after that.
