⚠️ @metoffice warning issued for a risk of heavy snow.
Valid midday Saturday until 9am Monday.
Given the uncertainties, it is quite likely this warning area and start/end times will be refined over the coming days as confidence increases in areas most likely to be impacted.

So one of the proud architects of the local SEND crisis is sharing this. Many children just want an education Fiona but your current council and inept management deny them it in favour of self-serving decisions. You don’t think our children have any worth! The audacity 🙄

Thank you to @WNLabourGroup colleagues for their hard work and comments at tonight’s Cabinet. Some big impact decisions tonight, some good and some bad in my view. Proud to speak out for families and residents who raise issues with me and do my best to get over the detail

Post 16 home to school transport has just had West Northants Tory cabinet approval to increase it from £600 to £1,000.
The principal at Guilsborough said he has serious concerns and how he expected to lose 6th form pupils.
It’s a 66% increase. Shocking!

Break: The recent ex-leader of West Northants Council Jonathan Nunn has now resigned the Tory whip under mounting pressure from others in the party. He denies violently abusing five women. Cllr Nunn provided this statement to the newly elected leader, Cllr Adam Brown:

Two weeks after our investigation into claims the now ex-leader of West Northants Council punched, choked, and spat at five women, Jonathan Nunn remains a Tory councillor and the party has refused to comment. So what say his colleagues at their AGM last night?

Barely a week since I warned @WestNorthants Council of the flood risks of their failure to maintain the Swanhaven Park lakes and they’ve flooded - water edging up towards housing. Such Tory negligence! @jirahh @CllrWRandall

This is exactly why this needs to end now. We need to get on with the business of change and delivery of services for the people, both those who are impacted by DV but also all those who need the council
With a statement from a member of the @WestNorthants administration this morning, it's a matter of great distress to be watching the leadership of yet another institution in Northamptonshire slide into collapse. Praying for those involved. 1/

I'm amazed and appalled at this decision. I have written to Cllr Breeze who is Cabinet member for Planning to ask identify what action WNC can take.

Just spoken with west northants conservative Cheryl Hawes (Kingsthorpe south) who is the first publicly to come out against Jonathan Nunn. She says she has withdrawn her support and thinks it should have been her own group rather than the opposition who called for his resignation

Demonstration today at One Angel Square ahead of Council tonight.
Fiona Baker says only a small number of children with have poor outcomes. We got these names together in just 3 days. All real SEND children failed by WNC.
Many more are out there.
