Awesome ATO from Brown. Same set that broke ATL and PHI, with Brunson backscreening for OG after dumping to KAT at the elbow. But Brunson slips the screen, and while Ant feels for it OG beats him backdoor. Cool to see them iterate on a set that killed in the playoffs.

If the Knicks don’t win another title in the Brunson era it is very simply James Dolan’s fault. They could have kept their entire rotation last year for another 1-2 years & he decided to make the team worse
NEW: Miles McBride wants to stay in New York long-term. The Knicks won't cross the second apron to make it happen — making his future in NYC cloudy at best. "I'm a little disappointed... I hope we come to some type of agreement. I’ve played thru injury.” nydailynews.com/2026/09/26/e…

That's a double whammy for the Knicks. They lose a really important player and one of their biggest competitors gets better.
Free agent center Mitchell Robinson has agreed to a three-year, $47.4 million deal to sign with the Boston Celtics, with a player option in third season, sources tell ESPN. Robinson departs the Knicks after serving a key role on the historic championship team.

Landry Shamet turned down the opportunity for bigger offers from other contenders to re-sign with the Knicks and defend the title, per sources. Those offers were coming if Shamet hit free agency. Instead, he and Knicks agree on 4-year, $24 million deal to bring him back to New York, as ESPN first reported. Bringing back Shamet was a priority for the club. If Knicks stay under second apron, it will be very difficult for them to now retain Mitchell Robinson.

This has lived rent free in my head since @FredKatz said it almost 3 years ago.
Fred Katz: "There are important people with the Knicks who are absolutely insistent that Jalen Brunson's gonna have another massive leap… … "There are people there like, 'This dude's not there yet. He has a ways to go…we're seeing it behind the scenes.' They're swearing by it"

Jalen Brunson’s ability to figure out a defense in a playoff series is uncanny. He did it again: First two games: 25 ppg | 34/23/88 Last three games: 37.7 ppg | 48/🚨52🚨/85

Jalen Brunson was 7 for 22 in quarters 1-3. He's 5 for 9 in the fourth. Just one of the greatest clutch scorers the sport has ever seen.

Jose Alvarado prevented that game from getting away from the Knicks when Brunson went down. Unsung hero of the night.

Knicks most responsbile for this collapse: 1) Mike Brown, for rolling out that ridiculous second-quarter lineup that let the Hawks back in the game 2) Brunson, for spending the majority of the game hunting his own shot instead of running an offense
