BTW, reading through Norwegian media and realizing that they don't seem to have a translation for "shithole" (the original iteration of the insult) which wold convey how the full depth of the insult. I've seen it translated simply as "shitty" and it's much worse than that.😭

Interesting thing to consider to is that, at least in Detroit, 73% of the ballots were straight-ticket ballots for the Democratic Party in 2024. So for all of Rogers talk of contesting the city, the problem for him is that he first has to battle this entrenched voting behavior.

I suspect that the use of this option on the ballot outside of the city for black Michiganders is probably not quite as prominent, but still probably a majority option. So, any poll showing Rogers with 20-30-40% of black voters is almost certainly inaccurate.

Glad to find get a more detailed look in a poll with decent methodology and a larger sample, which has been severely lacking. The thing about leaving Rogers propaganda unconfronted is that you can sometimes will a result into existence, at least on the margins.

For six weeks, NFL star Azeez Al-Shaair has used his platform to honor Palestinian girls. Today, he honored Fatima Al-Bayook, a Palestinian girl who was shot and killed by Israeli forces two days ago. Fatima was the sole survivor of an Israeli attack that killed her entire family in 2023.
