🤘🎸🎵Tonight is the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony. Since 1986, only 9% of inductees have been women. We crunched the numbers @axios to show how and why the process is so lopsided. From @fleecealeece @ruhlmuk and Troy Smith Read: axios.com/rock-and-roll-hall…

The point of this graph is how the ratio of cabs to beds has changed. Compared to the 1970 truck the length has not changed drastically, but the cabs got bigger and beds got smaller. Also modern trucks are taller and heavier. Can read the full article here axios.com/ford-pickup-trucks…

This is “Martin.” At 7:20am he watches TV. At 10:15am he gets groceries. At noon he eats lunch. At 5:10pm he watches more TV. At 8:30pm he goes to bed. “Martin” lives a pretty isolated life. Find out why this matters in our newest piece by @alv9n. pudding.cool/2023/09/invisib…

El Niño, occurring about once every two to seven years, turbocharges the rate of human-caused climate change by releasing substantial heat stored in the deeper oceans and moving it into the atmosphere. Explore its impacts on global weather patterns 👇 trib.al/v54zhns

All the credit to @ruhlmuk for leading the project, design, and dev. @erindataviz for wading through arcane government weather data and somehow turning it into beautiful images. And @afreedma for reporting, words and science expertise

Really proud of my team for this explainer on El Niño! Most stories like this use abstracted diagrams, which work well, but we wanted to do something different, so we pulled actual data for each of these weather patterns from past El Niño events 🌎 👉axios.com/el-nino-weather-ye…

Good design doesn't always mean ethical design. What should you consider to dataviz responsibly? In our most recent #ElevateShow, we talk about our different experiences and guardrails we use for our work. youtu.be/moCpkFwouH0
