A traditional leader from the Dhulbahante clan of #Daarood, Garaad Jamac, recently called on Somalis to travel to #Moyale Oromia to engage in conflict with the #Borana Oromo, who are the native inhabitants of the Moyale district. Garaad Jamac, recognized for his inflammatory rhetoric, released a video this morning urging Somali men to go to #Moyale with the apparent intention of harming innocent #Borana Oromo residents. This individual should face legal consequences for his actions, as his statements constitute incitement to ethnic violence against the #Borana community. Once upon a time Parklands was beautiful, today it is an ugly, congested concrete jungle with no green space and no room for sunlight, shoddy, cheap and often illegal developments with no proper sewer lines, overflowing drains, overloaded infrastructure, the uncontrolled sinking of boreholes within a small radius as each and every development has its own borehole, and ignored building and safety codes, this is not development but destruction, and as I have been saying for years, while I do not blame developers, I blame the incompetence and corruption of agencies meant to protect the city, because our greed and failure to do the right thing will come back to haunt us badly. #ReclaimNairobi
