Abdul El-Sayed: “The worst of the Big Ugly Bill hasn’t even hit yet. They knew it would be so disastrous to working people that they didn’t actually make it take effect until after the midterms. In January, Medicaid cuts, ACA subsidy cuts, all of that is gonna get worse. It’s about to be a nuclear bomb that goes off on our healthcare system”

BREAKING: US National Guard units in all 50 states are now quietly "mobilizing for next week's elections," per Ken Klippenstein.
The mission covers direct observation of ballot drop boxes and polling places, plus federal cybersecurity support.
It is the first time in US history the National Guard is being deployed at this scale ahead of elections.
Hegseth ordered military spy agencies to "mobilize every asset … to defend our election" so that "every lawful voter can cast their ballot free from foreign intimidation, coercion, or fear."

“This race has now become a referendum on tribalism,” said former Texas House Speaker Joe Straus. “The question is: Are people so loyal to the Republican Party, which hasn’t lost a statewide election in decades, that they’ll support a known racist?”
One of the most closely watched midterm races won’t determine the balance of power in Congress. But it could be a bellwether for the future of the Republican Party, and set the contours for acceptable discourse in mainstream politics.
It is the race for the Texas Railroad Commission. Story by @amyyqin.

Moreno: "I campaigned with Mike Rogers because he's in a race with somebody that is an affront to me as an American, as a naturalized citizen. Abdul El-Sayed can be nowhere near DC. Do you think he understands that concept that our rights come from God Almighty? That Jesus came here for our salvation? He should be nowhere near Washington DC and Mike Rogers is going to kick his ass."

Trump has no Constitutional authority to declare martial law, and both SCOTUS and the 5th and 9th Circuits now ruled his Federalization of the NG in CA and IL to be unlawful and unconstitutional.

Obama tonight on his Cheesecake Factory line: "They mobilized a whole of government response to that joke. Not to inflation, but to that joke. The White House even called the Secretary of the Treasury. This is the man who is in charge of the economy. The person who's supposed to be figuring out how to make your life more affordable. The guy who's supposed to be figuring out how to lower inflation. And reduce interest rates. They told him he should hold a press conference in front of the Cheesecake Factory."

Republican Roger Marshall's mayor says the senator is not a Kansas resident. "Look, it's quite obvious he doesn't live here anymore," Alan Moeder says. "He lives in Florida. He has a little hunting lodge south of Great Bend in Stafford County. And I think that's an issue for people, from what I hear." kansascity.com/opinion/opn-c…

Roger Marshall sold like a couple weeks ago. He has a plan to buy after election probably. Sarasota hates the Marshalls.
