If youโve never seen Star Trek, I strongly recommend watching the Next Generation Season 5 episodes โDarmok and โThe Inner Lightโ.
Brilliant episodes which centre around Patrick Stewart as Picard.

Nothing will ever be cooler than the fact that Patrick Stewart said yes to this role.

It can't be overstated how much Patrick Stewart carried Star Trek: The Next Generation on his back through those rough first two seasons until the show finally found its footing. Without his absolute conviction, Star Trek probably would have quietly died by the early 90s.

Not only was he a great actor he was a progressive activist who supported LGBTQ rights, universal healthcare, destigmatizing mental health issues, and was fiercely opposed to nationalism. He truly lived the ideals of Star Trek.

Just as an FYI considering it's still October, Patrick Stewart is really great in Green Room as the main villain. Heavily recommend people give it a watch if they haven't yet.

A St Louis woman has caught a recording breaking fish in British Columbia.
It's an 11 ft. 4 in. white sturgeon.
It's officially the largest freshwater fish ever caught by a female angler at 1,200 pounds.
The fish was tagged and released.
