1,800 sites "ultra-emit" methane from oil & gas. It costs almost nothing to stop the methane leakage and this provides a turbo-charged climate benefit. Of course Big Oil aren't doing any of it The fossil fuel industry are literally taking down our planet eco-business.com/news/low-co…

GDP is designed to exclusively account for the monetary benefits accrued from economic activity. It is blind to the degradation of the natural environment, finite resources and human wellbeing. It’s time we came up with something better. inkl.com/a/GdWGwrioLjL

It is now up to all of us— members of the #Human #family — to turn the #GlobalGoals into actively shared objectives for all of #humanity, if we want to create a more #sustainable world that works for all by 2030. This is a time for the world’s optimists to unite behind the #SDGs.
The engagement with #Agenda2030 “The #SDGs” is currently too slow to avoid the worsening series of converging #Crises that are already upon us — rapid #ClimateChange,#famines,#mass-migration, #poverty, resource wars,#biodiversity loss & #economic volatility to name but a few. @UN

Here lies the human race. RIP. As the dominant species, it had one job: look after the planet. But all it did was argue about who should pay for it. #COP26

When intellect and compassion comes together there is wisdom. @COP26 there is still time to make the right equitable decisions for our children and grandchildren.

Question: Why are fossil fuel subsidies not stopped? It should be so simple to do. Just stop them. $11-million a minute to the very industry we have to stop. If COP26 cannot do that very simple thing, then we are not getting anything from them.
End Fossil Fuels before they end us! "Which side are you on?" #COP26

I'm on my way home from #COP26, full of frustration and fury after reading the draft declaration. The world's powerful governments propose to do more to defend the fossil fuel industry than to defend life on Earth.

The cost to replace every lead pipe in the United States is $45-60 billion. BIF only gives $15b. Without BBB, many communities historically denied clean water will continue to be denied. Build Back Better has lead $ for disadvantaged communities. We must keep pushing for BBB.

Climate change is an existential threat to our planet. That’s why the Build Back Better Framework will be an unprecedented effort to combat climate change and puts the United States on track to meet our target of reducing greenhouse gas emissions in half by the year 2030.
