In a world full of Connor Hellebuycks, Dylan Larkins, and Brady Tkachuks
I’m grateful to have an Auston Matthews.
I can’t believe Leafs fans would drive another star out of town. Larkin, Tkachuk, Hellebuyck, and now Kucherov.
It’s ONLY ever that disgusting, toxic fanbase.
I’ll never forget the time Americans freaked out about Matthews being named captain of the Olympic team and instead were twerking for Larkin
So, to recap the Larkin situation, this year he has:
- Said he wants to be a Red Wing for life
- Missed the playoffs again (scored one even strength goal after the Olympics btw)
- Demanded a trade (but only to the top 3 US contenders)
- Lost the captaincy
- Begrudgingly showed up to camp (but wouldn't *really* answer any questions & got "injured)
- Decided to play & said his focus was on winning games
- Expanded his trade list (to the top 10 US contenders)
- Publicly quit on his team for a second time
Missing anything? Seems like a really easy guy to root for

Dylan Samberg is *really* good. Offensive numbers aren't really there as that's never been his calling card, but he's a big dman (6'4) who skates well, transitions the puck well and puts up 100+ blocks a year. Eats ~21 minutes a game with elite metrics.
Would pay a lot for him.
Leafs: We tied the game with 1:30 to go! All we need is a couple saves and we’re off to overtime!

who would’ve thought the analytics GM wasn’t high on bobrovsky but the vibes ‘advisor’ said hey it worked before 30 yesrs ago lets do it again
At first, John Chayka didn’t sound all that keen on a trade for a defenceman when he spoke today.
And yet, would he consider another big swing?
“Yes.”

Not a single team in the Atlantic is below .500 compared to the Pacific with 4.
Some people won’t admit it, but these are just two different leagues.
Actually insane how much faster the Leafs are this season
Treliving and Berube need to be imprisoned
Leafs with the 4th line on the ice at 5v5 the past two games (per NST):
- Shot Attempts: 18-8
- Shots On Goal: 10-2
- Scoring Chances: 11-2
- High Danger Chances: 7-0
- xGoal Share: 89.5%
- Goals: 3-0
I have no words.
Watching this forward core tearing teams apart and just remembered that we don’t even have Tavares in the lineup
A McKenna-Tavares-Sissons 3rd line to round out the forward core is gonna hit like crack
Of the Leafs top 4 line combinations based off xGoal Share, Easton Cowan is on 3 of them.
Can’t stress enough how valuable it is to have a player that can play on any line, in any role, and be this effective.

I’ll say it again. Enough of this bullshit about Scotiabank being quiet. Sportsnet purposely lowers the volume for wherever reason. Prime/TSN just listen to that crowd pop. It’s electric in there
TROY STECHER GAME WINNER WITH 26 SECONDS LEFT FOR TORONTO!!!
LISTEN TO THAT POP!! LISTEN TO MIKE JOHNSTONS REACTION! AND THE BENCH CELLY AS WELL!😂😂
What a huge two points for the #Leafs!!!
