Thanks @JabariBrisport @AndrewHevesi! This is one of the top concerns we hear from child care providers in settlement houses about access to care so we know this will help a lot of people!
Big news! As of yesterday, both @NYSenate & @NYSA_Majority passed legislation that decouples parents' work hours and child care! Thank you bill champions @JabariBrisport & @AndrewHevesi for standing with us in support of NY's most vulnerable families.

On the path to #NYSUniversalChildCare, we’re committed to prioritizing families and children who have been excluded by our broken child care system for too long. @GovKathyHochul, do not leave New York’s immigrant families behind in this year’s budget!

As a mom who has a 5 year old and a 10 year old... I can tell you that parents NEED AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMMING in order to work FT. If you don't include child care for 5-12 year olds, you're telling moms (yes, mostly moms) that they cannot work FT-- #NYSUniversalChildcare

DCCNY is thrilled that the State Assembly has passed bills to make is easier for families to access child care. We urge the State Senate and @GovKathyHochul to ensure these bills become law!

For too long, underinvestment has meant the child care system is subsidized by the poverty wages of child care providers. Investment in #NYSUniversalChildCare means investment in a thriving wage for child care providers, @GovKathyHochul, @AndreaSCousins, and @CarlHeastie!
