They kicked us out of the Washington Monument for filming this.

“the lure of belonging” is the most fascinating concept to me as to why so many people fall into conspiracy theories. We all want belong somewhere- but conspiracy theories turn dangerous (see Jan 6th)

For as long as I live, I will never understand how January 6th wasn’t the end of Donald Trump.
I will never, ever understand it.

Sen. Thom Tillis calls the attack on the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, “despicable” and “disgusting.”
“The people that led the charge, the people that assaulted police officers, I wish they were still in prison and serving a very long sentence,” he says. cbsn.ws/4egl1Cr

What happened at Cornell is horrific, and it’s a story that we’ve seen over and over and over again. A young woman brutalized, a justice system that closes the case, a school that covers the tracks, and disgusting young men whose “futures” are somehow prioritized over accountability and punishment. I stand with the former Cornell student who came forward to share her trauma, knowing how painful the process of seeking justice can be. I stand with the student journalists at the Cornell Daily Sun who were the first to shine a light on their school’s “pathetic task force.” I stand with all the college students who are rightfully protesting their universities’ failure to keep students safe on campus. As always, young people are leading the way.
