Russian strikes on Ukraine today are truly horrific. A train station in Dnipro, downtown Chernihiv. A father crying over the body of his child. Children screaming for a dad who is now gone.
And no reaction from the US, which is the most involved in making a "peace deal." Nothing from Trump at all.
It creates such a scary, dangerous reality, one where russian oil refineries are protected, but Ukrainian children simply walking the streets of their cities are treated as fair targets. One where the aggression is supported and rewarded and the resistance is judged.
I’m horrified by the world I find myself in. This is not how you make peace deals, this is how you betray your allies and throw them to the wolves.

While Kherson is experiencing a rare break from russian attacks, disturbing reports are emerging from the russian-occupied left bank of the Dnipro River.
Local volunteers report that russian forces are using the temporary ceasefire to rotate troops, bring in heavy military equipment and ammunition, and reinforce their positions.
Locals fear that russia is preparing for renewed attacks on Kherson.
And with the ceasefire set to end on November 1, many residents are terrified of what might happen next.

Russia’s idea of peace isn’t peace at all. It’s the subjugation of Ukraine, and it would all but guarantee another war.
Just some of Russia’s demands:
🔴 Surrender the entire Donbas, including territory Russia doesn’t control
🔴 Drastically limit Ukraine’s armed forces
🔴 Recognise Russia’s annexation of occupied Ukrainian territories
🔴 Permanently renounce NATO membership
🔴 Accept permanent neutrality and abandon Western military alliances
🔴 Roll back NATO’s military presence in Europe to Russia’s preferred terms
This is a recipe for disaster, and nothing the free world should even consider agreeing to.

As Craig Pirrong's counterfactual framework establishes: The Russian intercept is not the smoking gun. The failure to maneuver is.
1. The Sprinting Satellite Paradox & -96.64% Target Freeze (Page 1): Between Oct 13 and 24, 2026, Russian counterspace weapon COSMOS 2612 (68762) converted a 5-month, ~170 m/s co-planar trailing option into a 0.759 km sub-kilometer hold against U.S.-licensed radar satellite ICEYE-X36 (59103), which guides Ukraine's autonomous deep strikes on Russian oil refineries without SpaceX links, at the exact moment SpaceX throttled Ukrainian military Starshield terminals (-23.0% USF air-defense hits).
In June 2026 (with no Starlink alert), ICEYE-X36 defeated a Russian approach by dropping 0.500 km, generating 71.08 km/day secular drift (3.62 km/h in the sprint frame), exiting Russia's 3.0 km braking box in 49.7 to 60.78 minutes, blowing past Russia's 12 km or under onboard KTZ sensor in 3.31 hours, and causing a 103.7 to 118.5 km miss.
In October, as COSMOS 2612 fired a -2.2184 km (370.8x perched shock / 449.1x fit jump) burn to sprint 14.29x faster (400 km/day / 278 m/min), ICEYE-X36's evasion collapsed by 96.64% (to 16.8154 meters or less, P3 = 3.363%).
* Why? The Alert Itself Was the Weapon: SpaceX maintained a 0.401 km (0.711 km Oct 16) public GP collision alert via STARLINK-35856 (67013) despite holding internal v3/v4 forecasts 4.80x to 5.00x wider (1.925 to 2.003 km) and withholding autonomous Starlink clearance (M_Starlink = 0, W_X36 = 1, W_COSMOS = 0), legally freezing X36 under David Goldman's 2023 FCC Condition 16 (DA 23-797).
* Rational Russian exercise across a 363.7 km blind gap required ex-ante certainty of K = (E1, E2, E3). Across all 5 capability levers, SpaceX is the sole actor (N = 1): Posterior = 99.893% to 99.978% (Tier A floor; 1 in 3,748 to 17,841) and up to 99.999% (Tier B K-set).
2. Four-Way Tracker Blindness & What NRO/USSF Saw Live (Page 2):
* Public Catalogs (18th/19th SDS): Blind for 21.824 hours (363.7 km unobserved closure) on sprint (k6 to k7) and 19.385 hours on brake (k9 to k10, -382.71 km SGP4 delta).

3. Contracted Capacity Is Not Combat Availability & The 6-Way C2 Collapse (Page 3):
* Combat Output = Sensor Availability x Link Availability x Platform Availability x Permission Arriving Before Mission Window Closes (T_permission <= T_mission).
* The Two-Pronged Pincer: SpaceX weaponized FCC Condition 16 to freeze the Sensor Layer in orbit and a Commercial ToS ($500 liability cap) to blind the Transport Layer on the ground.

🇷🇺 A rare confession from a Putin propagandist: Russia can no longer launch an offensive!
Blogger Mikhail Zvinchuk ("Rybar"), speaking live on "Soloviev Live," stated that the Russian offensive in Ukraine has been paralyzed by Ukrainian drones.
Furthermore, there is no possibility of resolving the situation through additional mobilization.
- 120 km: the depth at which Ukrainian drones are pulverizing Russian logistics trucks, one by one.
- Over 100 km: the depth at which Russian logistics were destroyed during the Ukrainian "Vivaldi" counteroffensive.
His words are almost poetic:
"Right now, first and foremost, there are no men. We lack the forces and resources for a major offensive. (...) If large columns were to advance, it would be impossible to ensure their control or security. (...) Even isolated vehicles are being taken out 120 km behind the lines. Just imagine what would happen if they were large columns."
In other words: even the Russian army acknowledges that massing forces at the front is suicidal.
And dispersing them is just as dangerous…

🚨 Putin plans to use Ukraine peace talks to push NATO back to its 1997 military posture
According to The Telegraph, the Kremlin wants to force NATO to scale back its military presence in Europe to levels seen before Eastern European countries joined the Alliance.
This could mean demanding the withdrawal of NATO forces from Poland, the Baltic states, and Finland.
That is why Moscow is pushing for European countries to participate in negotiations over Ukraine. Diplomatic sources cited by The Telegraph say Putin wants to turn talks about ending the war into negotiations over the entire European security architecture.
The issue may also have been discussed during Putin's three-hour meeting with Trump's special envoy, Steve Witkoff, in St. Petersburg.
However, European countries have previously rejected the Kremlin's demands to reduce NATO's military presence on its eastern flank.
