"all the inhabitants of the earth are accounted as nothing,
And he does according to his will among the host of heaven
And among the inhabitants of the earth;
And none can stay his hand or say to him, "what have you done?"
Daniel 4:35
It just happened again. Just right there in my feed, a video of a priest getting killed by a falling decoration. No sensitive content warning, no "are you sure you want to view this?" Just an autoplay video of a man losing his life.
Goodbye, X
So the timeline here is:
~noon Thursday CT publishes posthumous slander of Elliott, coopting her for their crypto-progressive agenda
~4pm Thursday the article and tweet get deleted
9am Friday the editor-in-chief resigns
Afternoon Friday the article is restored (but no tweet)
From Marvin Olasky: After 56 years in journalism, I’m leaving Christianity Today thankful, blessed, and active as long as God gives me the strength.

I've noticed that I never see people say "that money could have been used to feed people" whenever Disney spends half a billion dollars on a Marvel movie.

This woman literally wrote these words about Elisabeth Elliot: "There should be nothing shocking or scandalous about the mere discovery that Elliot was attracted to women as well as men."
She based her assertion on claims made by an 88 year-old lesbian (a lesbian who'd spent decades trying to usher feminism and homosexuality into Christianity) which were then published by a homosexual "pastor." She calls this "carefully fact-checked."
Yet she pretends she's the one being wronged somehow by Christianity Today taking the article down. 🤦🏻♀️
I still have not heard from @CTmagazine about why my carefully fact-checked article has been removed, apparently in contradiction of their corrections policy: brand.christianitytoday.com/…
Seminary is fun.
I was just flipping through the list of contributors to the ESV study bible like "There's the doktorvater of my Hebrew professor. Oh, and there's the literal father of my hermeneutics professor"
You don't realize how connected the field is until you're in it

Voting by noncitizens is extremely rare, it’s usually only a few tens of thousands in key swing states.
#BREAKING: 1,827 noncitizens removed from Florida's voter rolls cast 7,035 ballots.
The woman who wrote "Shepherds for Sale" is responding to my accusation of hypocrisy by... bragging about her book sales.
Bold strategy
If ever there were a case of the pot calling the kettle black...
May the Lord manifest his judgement upon Christianity Today. May its readership fall away and its funding dry up. May he strip away the influence and success of its writers and editors who facilitate this wretched, subversive depravity, so that they recognize their sinful error

You. Have. Got. To. Be. Kidding. Me.
Christianity Astray is implying Elizabeth Elliot might have been a “bisexual.”
An incredible new low from a garbage organization. This is @drmoore’s legacy.

I reject the false notion that for pro-life voters have to solve every other issue in the world before they can be deemed truly pro-life by those who have no issue with a baby in the womb being killed at any point for any reason.
Yeah guys, you're being ridiculous. It's not like this guy was a professor of literature at the two most prestigious learning institutions on the planet or something. THEN maybe you could present him as a serious thinker...
Wait a minute
god it’s so embarrassing that these guys present Lewis as like. a serious thinker
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
C.S. Lewis was a leading literary scholar: triple first at Oxford; Fellow & Tutor, Magdalen College, Oxford (1925–54); first Professor of Medieval & Renaissance Literature, Cambridge (1954–63); Fellow of the British Academy (1955).

"The one where salvation means remaining God's creatures forever - or one where a Father invites His children and their families to become like Him, sharing His joy and loving relationship?"
There it is. Mormonism was always just falling for the same trick Adam and Eve fell for
I feel bad for creedists who debate Mormons
Just compare the worldviews...
The one where heaven means singing hymns and playing harps on clouds - or the one where families and loving relationships endure forever?
The one where God is some 3-person-1-being concept - or a Godhead of 3 distinct persons united in love and purpose?
The one where God scripts every jot & tittle of human history before creating it out of nothing - or the one where we are co-eternal with God, and can choose for ourselves?
The one where God designs billions to suffer in Hell - or the one where a Father provides every child a genuine opportunity for salvation?
The one where salvation means remaining God's creatures forever - or one where a Father invites His children and their families to become like Him, sharing His joy and loving relationship?
What are we even arguing about?
One of the most obvious lies I've ever seen from a Hollywood director.
I'm not a gambling man, but I would bet every penny I own that Gerwig didn't even attempt to read Lewis's Preface to Paradise Lost, let alone Paradise Lost itself
Greta Gerwig on preparing to write Narnia: The Magician's Nephew:
"I read or re-read everything Lewis wrote. Then I tried to read everything he read."
She also retraced C.S. Lewis's life and steps in Belfast, Cambridge, and Oxford, hoping to better understand the author so that "my instincts would align with his”.
