Access to natural water — whether in a sea, tidal pool, river, or lake — is a right we should all be able to enjoy without fear of pollution. That isn't the reality today.
Thank you @sascampaigns, @feargal_sharkey, @michaelastracha and others who are fighting for us all.
Tonight @channel5_tv 7pm. ‘Swimming In Sewage. Britain’s Water Scandal’. And yes, you should be outraged because this was lake Windermere, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that is being polluted by sewage! @MattStaniek @Feargal_Sharkey @PutneyFleur @bunce_sally @UnderwaterMedia 💩💩

💩 Our water is some of the worst in Europe.
🌊 How much of the water management in countries with over 90% 'excellent' water is publicly owned?
✅ Austria, 100%
✅ Cyprus, 100%
✅ Malta, 100%
✅ Greece, most
✅ Croatia, most
✅ Germany, most
✅ Portugal, 85%
Without serious intervention by 2027, just 6% of England’s river will be in good ecological status. @Feargal_Sharkey is on the frontline of the struggle to save Britain's rivers.

The council plans to introduce an outdoor lido to the borough! 🏊🏼♀️ @_petermason and @PKnewstub visited a popular lido in the neighbouring borough of Hillingdon earlier this week to see what it offered its residents. orlo.uk/tDxxw
