Cruz pointed to Zohran Mamdani openly saying he wants to “seize the means of production,” a straight Marxist line. Then he turned to Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed, calling him the “jihadist leprechaun,” and noted that El-Sayed once declared he has an “obligation” to follow Sharia law until the day he dies. Cruz’s message was simple: when they tell you who they are, believe them.
For years the left has screamed “Islamophobia” any time someone mentions Sharia, jihad, or open borders. Most of the Republican Party stayed quiet or soft-pedaled it. Cruz is not. He is treating the rise of candidates who praise seizing private property and personal adherence to Islamic law as an actual political threat, not a talking point.
This is the stand a lot of people have been waiting for. The takeover is not subtle anymore. Candidates are saying the quiet part out loud, and one senator is finally refusing to pretend it is normal.
