The fact that the USA is about to execute an innocent citizen - they know is innocent, the DA now says is innocent, the evidence proves he is innocent, should be enough for everyone to tear the system down.
Marcellus Williams could be any of us.
Marcellus Williams is all of us.

It is my desire that #MarkRobinson stop insulting and disparaging my father, who is not here to defend himself because he was assassinated for his work toward Mark Robinson even having civil rights, let alone running for governor.
However, Lt. Governor Robinson has proven to be so disrespectful concerning my father, my family, and others that I donāt know if heāll respect my desire.
Letās #TurnThePage from hate (including self-hate), racism, and fear-mongering rhetoric.

Remembering #PhilandoCastile, who was unjustly taken from us 8 years ago today. I witnessed the impact of your death in St. Paul, Minnesota and beyond. Your life mattered, and you should be here.

This is not North Carolina. We deserve a Governor who thinks about the projects of peace: how we can feed the hungry, care for the sick, house the poor, teach our children. We deserve a Governor who feels called to protect, not eager to kill.
Mark Robinson yelled that "some folks need killing" as a "matter of necessity" during an extended diatribe in Lake Church in southeast North Carolina, in which he attacked a wide range of unnamed enemies.

Cult of personality politics is destructive no matter what party it comes from.
We the people owe no elected official, they owe us. We elect them and we pay them.
They owe us. Not the other way around.
