ALT It's with some consideration that I choose to make these remarks. And bear with me because it starts big and ends petty. Trump is a disgrace. We messed up big by letting this guy have power. His conduct is reprehensible in basically every way - not least the alienation of our most important allies and the normalization of hatred, vindictiveness, bigotry, and malevolence - but also his degradation of the decorum historically expected of the highest office in the land.

ALT And so it goes. As many have said, the nation will move on in 2028 (and hopefully sooner), to brighter days and the righting of our ship. X But, and I'm not alone in thinking this, it will not be the end when he's gone. His family will have pilfered billions and will still yield influence in our country. Miserable acolytes (opportunists) of his cult will thrive among us. The point I'm getting at is that | subscribe to the idea that just saying "phew, glad that's behind us" will not be

ALT We'll have to take down monuments, unbuild ballrooms and arches, remove his name from buildings. We'll have to contextualice him historically as among the worst things that ever happened to the USA. Because it's true. And our society must not commemorate him but as a disgrace. Furthermore, Trump enablers should be held accountable for their roles in all this. Maybe we simply shame donors - including the corporate suck-ups who perversely kissed the ring; but indeed there could be actual legal repercussions for government parties who enabled corruption, attempted to intimidate broadcasters, lied knowingly about elections, and so on. Maybe money and airplanes get taken back.

ALT I mean no disrespect to Republicans. I hope the party regains its integrity when he's gone. I respect conservatives. But MAGA and Trump: the worst. The absolute worst. So here's the moral of my story: I intend to participate in the normalization of naming Trump for what he is: a stain. So if it seems trivial or petty when I mock him or post memes, pls know I literally see it as civic duty to point out that the emperor wears no clothes. I don't want America to live with his stain. And we'll need to clean it up together. In that spirit, here's Just Dance Vance. F these idiots.
