YandyTech Community Festival

Every community has a story. Ours has thousands. It started with a door. Over eight years, people have walked through it. Some came curious. Some came unsure. Some came with nothing but an idea and the courage to share it. They joined our programmes. They stayed to volunteer. They stood in front of rooms and facilitated sessions. They built solutions, showed up for their communities, and walked out with careers they once only imagined. Somewhere along the way, their stories became ours. So now, we’re handing them the mic. Introducing HUMANS OF YANDYTECH, a series celebrating the people behind eight years of learning, innovation and community impact. One face, one journey, one story at a time. And if YandyTech is part of your story, tell us in the comments. We’d love to hear it. #HumansOfYandyTech #YandyTechAt8 – at Chanchaga, Nigeria

Humans of YandyTech Spotlight💡 Meet Hope Garba, YandyTech's Gender and Social Protection Officer. Hope studied Biochemistry at Kaduna State University and is passionate about creating opportunities that help people thrive. As a development practitioner, her work focuses on technology, education, gender, and social impact. She also helps to design programmes and partnerships that move people from vulnerability to possibility. She is particularly interested in social protection, digital inclusion, youth leadership, and building systems that work for people who are often overlooked. Beyond work, She enjoys reading, mentoring young people, and turning innovative ideas into practical solutions that make a difference. Hope has contributed greatly to the organisation as she has developed internal policies which have kept the organisation and team members in check and also protected people affiliated to YandyTech. #HumansOfYandyTech #YandyTechat8

Strengthening Youth Voices for Regional Development! YandyTech Community, in collaboration with Bridge Connect Africa Initiative and other key stakeholders, paid an advocacy visit to the Kaduna State Ministry of Youth Development to formally introduce the Northwest Youth Development Consortium. This initiative is part of the Youth Leading Change Programme, implemented by Bridge Connect Africa Initiative with support from the Nigeria Youth Futures Fund. The visit created an opportunity to engage with the Ministry on strengthening partnerships that empower young people across the Northwest region to actively participate in development, leadership, and policy engagement. The Northwest Youth Development Consortium aims to build a collaborative platform where youth-led organizations can coordinate efforts, amplify youth voices, and drive sustainable solutions to the region’s social and economic challenges. At YandyTech Community, we believe that meaningful youth engagement is critical to building resilient communities and shaping inclusive development policies. We appreciate the Kaduna State Ministry of Youth Development for the warm reception and their commitment to supporting youth-driven initiatives. Together, we continue to empower young people to lead change. #YouthLeadingChange #YouthDevelopment #NorthwestYouth #PartnershipForImpact #YandyTechCommunity
