PEACE STARTS WHEN YOUNG PEOPLE HAVE THE SPACE TO SPEAK, LISTEN, LEARN, AND ACT. Over the past two days, we brought together 20 young people in Kaduna for the Youth Peace Innovation Lab Bootcamp under the Tech4Peace and Citizen Lab initiative of @YandyTech in partnership with Thrive360 Youth Initiative. It was more than just a training. Participants shared experiences, asked difficult questions, listened to different perspectives, and explored practical ways young people can contribute to peace in their communities. We looked at what drives conflict, how dialogue can help, how to understand different community stakeholders, the importance of community listening, Youth, Peace and Security (YPS), and how technology and innovation can support local peacebuilding. Most importantly, the conversations were grounded in the realities young people see and experience in their own communities. And this is only the beginning. The next step is taking these conversations beyond the room and turning what was learned into practical, community-informed ideas and solutions. We are looking forward to seeing what these 20 young people do next. #YouthPeaceInnovationLab #YandyTechCommunity #Thrive360YouthHub #YouthPeaceAndSecurity
