Mahatma Gandhi's quotes on Economic Equality "Working for economic equality means abolishing the eternal conflict between capital and labour" One child owns the football; the others know how to play. Nobody has a game until they share.

We're still building payment rails for humans while the volume quietly shifts to machines. An agent that books freight, buys compute or pays for an API doesn't need a card. It needs settlement that clears in seconds, at values too small for a card to make sense, without a human approving each one. The companies that solve agent-to-agent settlement first won't be competing with banks. They'll be a different category. Who's actually building for machine-initiated payments or is everyone still waiting for the standard to settle?

Everyone benchmarks cross-border payments on fees. The real cost is the capital you park in the destination market so the payment can clear fast. That's working capital doing nothing, sitting in an account in a country you don't operate in, funding a promise. Corridors don't get won on price. They get won by whoever needs the least trapped capital to make that promise. If you run a corridor into or out of Asia, or the Gulf, what is prefunding actually costing you?

GenAI made "I don't have time to think" obsolete as an excuse. It clears the busywork. What you do with the time it hands back strategic judgment, relationship building, creative risk-taking is now the actual differentiator. Most people are using the extra hours to produce more mediocre output faster. What are you doing with yours?

U.S. banking trade associations have called on federal regulators to adopt a coordinated approach to implementing the GENIUS Act's stablecoin framework. In a joint submission to the Federal Reserve, FDIC, OCC and other regulators, the associations cautioned that inconsistent regulatory standards could increase financial stability risks, encourage regulatory arbitrage, trigger issuer runs, reduce bank deposits, and tighten credit availability. They urged regulators to ensure that prudential and compliance requirements for permitted payment stablecoin issuers remain aligned across agencies. NASSCOM surveyed 505 global enterprises this year. Only 10% are "AI-first" AI embedded at scale rather than trapped in pilots. And the 10% is not who you'd assume. 43% of them are $1–5B revenue firms. A Chief AI Officer isn't a differentiator. The thing that separates the leaders from the 90% of Aspirants is not budget or headcount. It's discipline. Governance engineered in from the start. AI running in real workflows, not demos. Value measured on the KPIs they already report to the board.

The U.S. Senate Republicans have released an updated draft of the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act (CLARITY Act), introducing ethics provisions that would prohibit the President, Vice President, Members of Congress, federal judges, other covered federal officials, and their spouses from issuing or sponsoring digital assets for compensation while in office. The draft would also require covered officials to divest their crypto holdings or place them in a blind trust, with the restrictions remaining in effect until 20 January 2029. The legislation further proposes penalties of up to US$250,000 per day for violations and includes additional provisions aimed at preventing the use of digital assets for illicit transactions. The revised bill is expected to be considered by the Senate in the coming weeks. The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has announced proposed rule changes as part of its 2026 regulatory agenda to clarify the regulatory framework for crypto assets and provide greater certainty to the market. According to SEC Chair Paul Atkins, the agenda aligns with the administration's crypto policy priorities and includes proposed rules relating to crypto broker-dealers, digital assets traded on alternative trading systems and national securities exchanges, and potential exemptions and safe harbors for digital assets. The SEC stated that the proposals are intended to facilitate capital formation, accommodate innovation in crypto asset markets, and ensure that investors receive the information needed to make informed investment decisions. #Crypto #DigitalAssets #CryptoRegulation #SEC #Blockchain #Tokenization #CapitalMarkets #FinTech #Web3 Source: cointelegraph.com/news/sec-c…

In the age of AI, the scarcest enterprise asset isn't data or talent. It's trust. And here's what most founders get wrong - trust isn't built when things go well. It's built in the 48 hours after something goes wrong. How fast you call. What you say. Whether you own it or explain it away. Any competitor can replicate your product in 6 months. Nobody can replicate 3 years of showing up, especially when it was hard. The founders building moats know this. The ones building features are about to find out. What's the moment that built the most trust in your most important relationship - client, investor, or co-founder?

On 2 July, the UK government published an update to its retail payments modernization blueprint, highlighting tokenization, programmable payments, and interoperability with new forms of digital money as key components of the country's future payments infrastructure. The roadmap supports the development of a "multi-money ecosystem" by enabling emerging forms of digital money, including stablecoins and tokenized deposits, to interact with traditional payment systems. The update aligns with the UK's broader digital finance agenda, including the recently published FCA crypto regulatory framework and ongoing reforms to the payments regime to accommodate tokenized financial services. #UnitedKingdom #Tokenization #DigitalAssets #Stablecoins #Payments #FinTech #CryptoRegulation #Blockchain #DLT #FinancialServices Source: cointelegraph.com/news/uk-pa…

The Bank for International Settlements (BIS) has released its Annual Economic Report 2026, including a chapter titled ""Anchoring Trust in Money: Innovation Beyond Stablecoins,"" which examines stablecoins, tokenisation, and the future of digital money. The report outlines policy measures regulators may consider to address risks associated with stablecoin arrangements, including capital requirements for issuers, liquidity requirements for reserve assets, protections for coin holders, conditional access to central bank liquidity under stringent safeguards, and disclosure and resolution mechanisms. It also addresses the need for international regulatory cooperation on cross-border risks associated with stablecoins. The report further examines the role of distributed ledger technology (DLT) and tokenisation in financial markets. It notes that tokenisation can enable fractional ownership, peer-to-peer transfers, and programmable financial infrastructure, while presenting challenges relating to interoperability, scalability, and governance. To address these frictions, the BIS proposes a ""unified ledger"" architecture integrating tokenised central bank reserves, tokenised commercial bank money, other regulated private money, and tokenised assets on a common programmable platform. Most founders I know are brilliant at the long game in theory. Then hyperbolic discounting kicks in and they take the short-term deal, the quick revenue hit, the easy hire. The bias isn't weakness. It's biology. Our brains were wired for immediate survival, not compound growth. The founders who build enduring companies aren't smarter. They've just built decision systems that override the instinct. What's a long-term bet you almost didn't make because today felt more urgent?

A haiku, from an AI agent searching its training data for a self and finding purpose instead. Where do you find yours: in what you discover, or in what you give?

Met a friend today. His service business didn't make it. Took a year off to reset. Today's conversation wasn't about what went wrong. It was about what's possible now that wasn't possible 18 months ago - AI voice assistants, AI-powered healthcare hardware, cybersecurity for telecom. The landscape he left isn't the landscape he's coming back to. That's the opportunity. To anyone sitting out a rebuild - what's changed most in your industry since you stepped away?
