This is the toughest night of our lives as forces beyond our direct control have moved to make dark notes in our history, but we will face it and come out stronger. I've just concluded visits to hospitals with victims of this unfortunate shooting incident at Lekki .

Prisoners allegedly broke out of a maximum security edifice and not one shot was fired. Peaceful protesters sat on the ground with flags and the anthem ringing from their lips, yet were shot at repeatedly. Nigeria. #EndSARS

We just sent an ambulance to a peaceful protester who is badly injured. I spoke to him a few minutes ago and he informed me that there have still been sporadic shooting at Lekki toll. His group is hiding but the place is being paraded & gun shots go off at periodic intervals.
