Another sad piece of Council arts funding news, this time for my local town. The arts has huge value to society and we'll see the impact of these proposed cuts for years to come.
Perfectly summed up by @Owencl: "...ceasing to invest in arts and culture is short-term thinking."
Suffolk County Council is proposing to stop core funding, of £500,000, to arts and museum sector organisations from April 2025 as part of £64.7m budget cuts. A good email #newsletter is a thing of real beauty. I always end up with so many tabs open after reading @supercooldesign's emails from @supercoolkp — which is both a blessing and a curse!

It took me moving out of Cam to finally get back to the Cambridge Shakespeare Festival (what's wrong with me?) but what a dreamy evening! Some really incredible performances & such a beautiful setting. I was mouthing along to Puck's final monologue like the cringey fangirl I am.
