awarding someone as the best player in the world for a 30-day tournament is ridiculous. and it only began when messi started winning internationally.
…
@Praise_FfsOct 26
I really hate hearing “World Cup year” or “international year”. Because I don’t think one month should outweigh over 8 months of football. For example, Unai Simon winning the Yashin ahead of Raya is nuts.

Because the criteria is whatever competition Messi excelled at in a year, it's a bullshit award

Genuine Question. If Messi won the 2023 Ballon Dor because he won the World Cup and world cup Golden ball. Why isn’t Rodri the favorite to win 2026’s after winning the exact World Cup and Golden ball too?

I’m new to F1 and it’s been amazing to watch Lewis and Max battle it out. I’m no expert on it but I feel like there’s some bizarre rules that give an unfair advantage like today ? Why should Hamilton be penalised for somebody else’s crash?

Acquiring knowledge, really. The more knowledge you have in an area, the more confident you are in articulating your perspective. Having a significant knowledge advantage allows you to speak with a level of conviction and authority that naturally comes across as assertiveness

how did you learn how to be assertive ?

Ballon d’Or ceremony today, but I’m casually remembering a young man who won the treble, scored 52 goals in all comps, broke the Premier League’s Goal scoring record in his debut season,won the UCL Golden Boot & the PFA best player only to lose the Ballon d’Or to the media’s favourite. Messi, I will never forgive you for this robbery.

For J Dubs injury, more concerned about the possibility of a multi light knee than the mid to distal shaft tib-fib fracture.

There's no debate. Bellingham is so clear. The only reason they talk about the other guy is because cules are insufferable noise makers.

Pedri and Bellingham. Two of the greatest midfield talents of this current generation have been the center of much dispute due to differing beliefs on who is superior and misconceptions regarding their abilities. In this thread, I'd like to compare and appreciate these geniuses.
